Learning Content Design & Development Services
The learning content your people actually finish.
Most learning content is generic, hard to find, or out of date the day it ships. Edstellar designs and builds the custom eLearning, courses, media and assessments your learning needs, so content changes behavior instead of gathering dust.

Ready to fix your learning content?
Trusted by teams at
Learning content that turns performance into business results.
With instructional design and clear standards behind it, content stops piling up: courses people complete, one consistent library, and proof it changed how they work.
Relevant, not generic
Content is built for your roles and real work, so people see themselves in it.
Finished, not abandoned
Designed to hold attention, so people complete it and the learning sticks.
Consistent and accessible
One design standard with accessibility built in, so quality does not depend on who built it and no one is left out.
Reused, not rebuilt
Built, bought and curated content blended into one library, so you reuse what exists and people find what they need.
Measured, not guessed
Completion, engagement and outcomes are tracked, so you see what works.
Current, not stale
A refresh cadence and named owners, so content stays accurate.
Assess your learning content maturity against the essentials.
A quick content maturity check: see where your learning content is strong today, and where it can go further.
- A personalized readiness tier, from Foundation to Content-ready.
- A clear view of your strengths and gaps.
- The first moves to make before you engage a partner.
What we design into your learning content.
Our learning content development covers six connected pieces that turn scattered material into content people actually finish. Select one to see how it works.
Content strategy & planning
Every asset mapped to a real learning need and audience, so you build what people will use, not another course library nobody opens. Every piece traces back to a learning need.
Instructional design
How each piece is structured to make people learn and apply it, using proven instructional design and learning experience design (LXD) instead of slides with a quiz bolted on.
Courseware & media production
Building custom eLearning, video, microlearning, scenario-based and blended learning and assessments to a consistent standard, so quality does not depend on who made it.
Curation & sourcing
Blending custom-built, bought and curated content into one coherent library, so you reuse what exists and build only what you must.
Measurement & KPIs
The completion, engagement and outcome data that show whether content is working, so you invest in what lands and retire what does not.
Content quality & governance
The standards, review and refresh cadence that keep content accurate, accessible and on-brand, instead of decaying the day it ships.
The content formats we design and build.
From a two-minute explainer to a full AR simulation, we build the format that fits the learning need, the audience and the budget, from rapid eLearning and mobile learning to immersive builds. Explore a sample of each.

Four levels of interactivity
We build to the level of interaction the learning actually needs, not the most expensive one.
Level 1
Passive
Learners read and watch. Text, images and video, no interaction.
Awareness, policy roll-outs
Level 2
Limited
Clickable graphics, simple drag-and-drop and quizzes.
Product knowledge
Level 3
Moderate
Scenarios, branching and custom interactions.
Compliance, soft skills
Level 4
Full immersion
Simulations, serious games and AR/VR.
Safety, high-risk tasks

The Edstellar learning content blueprint.
The five layers your learning content is built from, each one built on the one before it, from audience needs up to measurement. This is what we design.
Needs & audience
You get:Audience & need mapThe foundation the whole blueprint is built on: we map every piece of content to the audience and the learning need it serves.
- Audience mapping
- Need definition
- Content inventory
Learning design
You get:Instructional designBuilt from the needs in layer 01, the instructional design decides how each piece actually teaches.
- Design principles
- Learning objectives
- Assessment logic
Content architecture
You get:A structured libraryThe library structured and mapped, so people and the production above it can find and reuse what exists.
- Content map
- Taxonomy
- Reuse model
Production
You get:Finished contentWhere the design becomes content people open: courses, media and assessments built to the design and architecture.
- Courseware
- Media & video
- Assessments
Quality & measurement
You get:Quality & impact loopProof it worked, read back against the needs in layer 01, closing the loop from need to impact.
- Quality standards
- Completion data
- Refresh cadence
The Edstellar 5A methodology.
How we run the engagement: a five-step content design and development method, run with your subject-matter experts, that takes you from scattered material to a measured content transformation. This is how we work.

Grounded in the frameworks that make learning work.
Every build rests on established instructional design, learning experience design and adult learning science, not guesswork.
ADDIE is the most widely used instructional design process in the world. Each phase feeds the next, so nothing is built until the need, the audience and the objectives are clear, and every output is measured against them.
The five phases
We run ADDIE for structured, high-stakes programs where scope, sign-off and auditability matter.
The Successive Approximation Model replaces ADDIE's linear path with rapid cycles of prototype, review and refine. Stakeholders see working content in days, not months, and shape it as it is built.
The three phases
We use SAM when speed and stakeholder feedback matter more than a fixed upfront spec.
Andragogy, Malcolm Knowles' theory of how adults learn, is why our content respects the learner. Adults need to know why, bring real experience, and learn best when the content solves a problem they have right now.
The core principles
Every module is built problem-first and tied to the learner's real work, never theory for its own sake.
Bloom's Taxonomy classifies learning objectives by cognitive complexity, from recalling facts to creating new work. It keeps objectives honest, so content that claims to build judgment actually practices it.
The six levels
We write every objective at the right level, then design activities and assessments to match.
Gagné's Nine Events of Instruction is the lesson-level blueprint for how people take in, process and retain information, from gaining attention to transferring it to the job.
The nine events
Each lesson is structured around these events, so attention, practice and retention are designed in, not left to chance.
Merrill's First Principles distills decades of instructional research into five that consistently drive results: learning happens when real problems are tackled, prior knowledge is activated, and skills are demonstrated, applied and integrated into the work.
The five principles
We pressure-test every design against these five principles before a single asset is built.
The Kirkpatrick Model is the global standard for evaluating training. It moves measurement beyond “did they like it” to whether behavior changed on the job and the business improved.
The four levels
We baseline and measure at the levels that matter to your goals, usually behavior and business results.
The 70-20-10 model reflects how capability is really built: mostly through challenging work, some through others, and a focused share through formal content. It keeps courses in proportion to practice and coaching.
The learning mix
We design formal content to trigger and support the 90% of learning that happens on the job.
Why choose Edstellar for learning content.
The rare partner that designs your learning content and builds it, keeps it findable and current, and proves it changed how people work.
Design to build, one partner
Your content actually ships, because the team that designs it also produces it.
The difference
Most firms hand you a storyboard. We build the finished content.
Runs on the Capability Intelligence Platform
The Capability Intelligence Platform keeps your capability picture live, so content targets the skills that matter and proves its impact.
The difference
Content mapped to live capability data, not a guess.
Outcomes tied to the business
Every build sets its baseline and metrics up front, so content is measured against business results, not completion counts.
The difference
Measured in business results, not slides delivered.
Localized delivery, wherever your people are
Content built and localized onsite, virtual or hybrid across 100+ countries and 20+ industries, so a global rollout stays consistent.
The difference
Localized where your people are, not just in English.
A proven method, not improvisation
Every build runs the Edstellar 5A method and established frameworks like ADDIE and SAM, so content is systematic, not improvised.
The difference
A repeatable system, not a bespoke experiment each time.
Flexible from curated to custom
Curate what exists, adapt what you have, or build fully custom content, and scale up as the partnership grows.
The difference
Take as much or as little as you choose.

Both. We build custom eLearning, video and assessments where they add value, and curate or adapt existing content where it already exists, so you only build what you must.
Typically eight to twelve weeks for the design and a first release, with the volume of content driving the overall timeline.
Yes. Accessibility to WCAG and localization into the languages your teams need are part of the production standard, not add-ons.
