Program Overview: What is CRISC Training?
CRISC Training is a hands-on technical program for risk managers, control owners, and GRC staff preparing for the CRISC exam. It covers the four domains: governance, IT risk assessment, risk response and reporting, and IT and security. Teams practice on realistic risk scenarios, building both exam readiness and day-to-day risk capability.
Training is practical from the first module. Participants build real skill by doing: they identify and assess IT risks, design risk responses, evaluate controls, and report risk to stakeholders. Instructors coach every guided lab, reviewing each analysis and correcting mistakes on the spot. The program closes with a capstone where each team completes a full risk assessment cycle for a sample business unit, then defends its findings, responses, and control recommendations.
Risk functions often struggle with inconsistent assessments, vague registers, and controls nobody monitors. This program teaches disciplined risk identification, assessment, and response, replacing ad-hoc judgment with structured analysis, clear ownership, and monitoring regulators trust.
Each team finishes with a complete risk assessment pack: a risk register, assessment matrices, response plans, and a monitoring schedule. That pack becomes the template your risk function reuses next cycle.
Six modules and 30 hours: CRISC foundations, governance, IT risk assessment, risk response and reporting, control design and monitoring, and a capstone risk assessment. Every module pairs concepts with a guided lab, so each technique is practiced on realistic risk scenarios. It closes with a capstone review where instructors assess each team's work against CRISC domain expectations.
Delivery is hybrid across virtual and onsite sessions, scheduled around your calendar. Cohorts train as one group or split into batches, with session materials and lab guides included for every participant.
