Program Overview: What is ServiceNow Role-Based Training?

ServiceNow Role-Based Training is Edstellar's instructor-led program for IT staff across every ServiceNow role. It covers platform navigation, ITSM fundamentals by role, incident and request fulfillment, problem and change management, service catalog and knowledge, plus reporting and administration. Each participant learns the platform through the lens of the job they actually do.

Over 31 hours, role-specific tracks run in parallel with shared instructor-led sessions. Your trainer demonstrates each role's workflows, coaches learners through hands-on exercises in their own track, and reviews their work with targeted feedback. Fulfiller, manager, and administrator paths each practice the processes they will own, from ticket to closure. The training concludes with the capstone: running an end-to-end service delivery process across all the roles together.

Generic platform training wastes time: fulfillers sit through admin screens they will never touch, and admins miss the depth they need. This program trains each role on exactly their workflows, so learning sticks and nobody relearns on the job. Your whole service organization comes up on the platform together, each person competent in their own lane.

The cross-role capstone is where the tracks merge into one story: a service request moves from catalog to fulfillment to closure while each role does their part, with managers watching the whole flow and administrators keeping the platform healthy underneath. Your team experiences the service delivery process the way your customers experience it: as one smooth motion, not a relay of handoffs.

The program combines concept delivery, live demos, and guided hands-on labs so every cohort practices in the areas of the platform it owns. Modules progress from navigation and ITSM fundamentals to fulfillment, change, analytics, and administration essentials, closing with a capstone that runs an end-to-end service delivery process. Content adapts to your roles, instance setup, and processes.

Connect ServiceNow Roles Through Reliable Ticket and Service-Delivery Workflows

Edstellar develops ServiceNow skills around the actions each role performs in service delivery. Participants follow incidents, requests, problems, changes, and knowledge through realistic scenarios while examining reporting and configuration. An integrated process exercise is reviewed for accurate records, coherent handoffs, and appropriate use of role responsibilities.

  1. Step 01

    Consult

We identify participants' service roles, platform confidence, and ticket-handling difficulties to focus practice on relevant lifecycle actions, reporting, and process handoffs.

  2. Step 02

    Plan

Role-based navigation and ITSM foundations lead into incidents, requests, problems, changes, catalog, and knowledge before reporting and an integrated service-delivery exercise.

  3. Step 03

    Align

ServiceNow and ITSM expertise supports first-time users and colleagues taking new responsibilities, matching practice to the actions and decisions each role owns.

  4. Step 04

    Customize

Fictional tickets, catalog requests, and change cases reproduce familiar service situations without exposing user identities, confidential incidents, or operational configuration details.

  5. Step 05

    Execute

Participants trace ticket lifecycles, execute role-specific actions, and test safe configuration changes, receiving feedback on records, handoffs, reporting, and update-set handling.

  6. Step 06

    Evaluate

We assess the service process for correct role actions, consistent ticket evidence, clear handoffs, and reports that accurately explain the demonstrated work.
