Program Overview: What is NetSuite Role-Based Training?
NetSuite Role-Based Training is Edstellar's instructor-led program for finance, operations, and administrative teams learning NetSuite by role. It covers NetSuite navigation and role centers, financials core by role, order-to-cash and procure-to-pay cycles, SuiteBuilder customization, SuiteFlow workflow automation, saved searches, reports, and KPIs, plus roles, permissions, and data governance.
Training is hands-on in a NetSuite environment. Participants work through their own role's daily tasks: finance staff close periods and reconcile, operations staff run orders and procurement, administrators manage roles and permissions. Later sessions build customizations, automate workflows with SuiteFlow, and design saved searches and KPI dashboards, with instructors coaching each role on its real screens. The program closes with a capstone of role-based end-to-end scenarios.
Generic NetSuite training teaches every screen to every person, so finance staff sit through inventory flows and warehouse staff sit through accounting. Adoption stalls because nothing maps to anyone's actual job. This program teaches each role only what it uses, in the order it uses it, so training time converts directly into working capability.
The capstone is a set of role-based end-to-end scenarios: each participant executes their role's complete workflow in the NetSuite environment, from login to task completion, including the customizations and reports their job needs. Instructors verify every scenario against the role's real responsibilities. Participants return ready to do their actual job in NetSuite on Monday morning, with the screens, searches, and permissions that job requires.
Across 32 hours of instructor-led sessions, participants work through the NetSuite tasks their roles own: navigating role centers and dashboards, processing financial transactions, running order-to-cash and procure-to-pay flows, customizing records and forms, automating approvals with SuiteFlow, building saved searches and reports, and administering roles and permissions. Labs run in a practice account grouped by role, and the program closes with a capstone where each attendee executes their role's end-to-end scenarios and reviews the results with the instructor.

Edstellar develops NetSuite capability around the transactions and decisions each role owns. The final role-based demonstration is reviewed for accurate records, coherent handoffs, and reporting that reflects the completed business process.
- Step 01
Consult
We map participants' NetSuite duties and process familiarity to identify gaps in role-center navigation, financial transactions, order cycles, approvals, and role-relevant reporting.
- Step 02
Plan
We establish role navigation and financial foundations before order and purchasing cycles, then develop customization, SuiteFlow, reporting, and permissions ahead of integrated role scenarios.
- Step 03
Align
We align NetSuite functional expertise with finance, operations, and administration participants, matching configuration depth and transaction practice to each role's responsibilities and experience.
- Step 04
Customize
Sample account structures, orders, and approval scenarios reflect relevant role duties, allowing tailored SuiteBuilder and search exercises without changing operational records or access settings.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants complete transactions, customize forms, test SuiteFlow approvals, and troubleshoot role access, receiving feedback on record consistency, workflow behavior, and the relevance of reports.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess each role scenario for accurate transactions, complete process handoffs, functioning approvals, appropriate permission behavior, and searches or reports that explain the demonstrated outcomes.
