Program Overview: What is SQL?
SQL is Edstellar's instructor-led technical program for analysts, engineers, and professionals who need to query databases confidently. Participants start with query basics, then progress through filtering, aggregations, and joins across multiple tables. The program covers subqueries, CTEs, window functions, and the fundamentals of data modeling and indexing.
Training is hands-on from the first query. Participants write SQL against realistic business databases in guided labs, with instructors reviewing every query for correctness and style. Coaching builds through joins and window functions, with direct feedback on how queries scale to larger datasets. The program closes with a capstone where each participant builds an end-to-end analytics database.
Teams that fear the database stay dependent on whoever can write a query: slow answers, ad hoc exports, and metrics nobody trusts. This program teaches participants to pull their own answers, model data sensibly, and write SQL that performs. Every concept is practiced in labs, so the confidence transfers to production databases.
The capstone is an end-to-end analytics database the participant designs and builds: modeled tables, indexed columns, and queries that answer real business questions. They finish the program no longer borrowing someone else's SQL.
Across six modules, participants progress from foundational queries to joins, subqueries, window functions, and indexing strategy. Every concept is practiced in labs against a sample business database, and the program closes with a capstone where teams design, build, and query a complete analytics database. Delivery is by data practitioners, adapted to your stack and use cases.
