Program Overview: What is R3 Corda Blockchain Corporate Training?
R3 Corda Blockchain is an instructor-led program for enterprise developers and architects building distributed-ledger applications for regulated industries. Participants master Corda's privacy-first design, model business assets as states and contracts, develop flows and CorDapps in Kotlin, and operate permissioned networks with notary services. Security, privacy, and network operations are covered as production concerns, not afterthoughts.
After a training needs analysis maps the curriculum to the team's DLT gaps, six instructor-led modules run hands-on labs in a live Corda environment. Instructors customize each session around the team's use cases, coaching developers through flow design, contract constraints, and network operations. Pre- and post-assessments track progress at individual and team level. The program closes with a production capstone where the team tests and deploys a complete CorDapp.
Enterprise blockchain projects fail on the boring parts: identity, privacy, and the operational reality of running a permissioned network. Teams that prototype on public-chain patterns discover too late that Corda's privacy model changes every design decision. This program teaches the Corda-native way from the start, so designs survive contact with compliance, auditors, and production.
The capstone is a production-grade CorDapp built for a regulated-industry use case the team brings: states and contracts modeled, flows implemented in Kotlin, identity and notary services configured, and the network deployed and tested. Instructors review the application for security, privacy, and operational readiness. Your team returns with a deployed CorDapp and the operational judgment to run a Corda network in production, not just demo one.
Across six modules, your team moves from distributed-ledger foundations to a production-ready capstone CorDapp. Sessions use real-world use cases from finance, trade, and regulated industries, so every pattern transfers directly to your enterprise DLT work.
Delivered as an instructor-led program in hybrid, onsite, or live virtual formats, it fits around your calendar, with scheduling set along with you and content tailored to your stack before the first session.

R3 Corda Blockchain Course Topics and Program Outline
Six modules follow a clear learning path from Corda foundations to a production capstone. Each session builds on the last, with hands-on labs that turn ledger concepts into working CorDapp code.
Built by Edstellar with blockchain and Corda practitioners
Built by engineers who design and deploy permissioned ledger applications on Corda in production, shaped around your stack and use cases.
Baseline each participant's Corda and distributed ledger readiness before module 01 begins
Build strong Corda and CorDapp architecture foundations in instructor-led sessions for your team
Reinforce skills through guided hands-on labs on Corda networks, flows, and CorDapp builds
Apply Corda skills to real-world scenarios and a capstone CorDapp build project
A short pre-training assessment sets each participant's entry level, so the program starts where your team actually is. The rest is weighted toward hands-on practice: guided CorDapp labs and realistic scenarios drawn from your team's work, not slides.

Teams that Benefit from this R3 Corda Blockchain Group Training
This program is built for development teams and architects delivering permissioned ledger applications, from application engineers to platform owners. No prior blockchain experience is needed; content adapts to each cohort, so every team practices the DLT work their roles actually own.
Build production CorDapps your business can run on.
Developers and technical leads learn to model assets as states and contracts, build flows in Kotlin, and deliver working CorDapps through hands-on labs.
Workflow friction
- No in-house Corda expertise for DLT projects
- Prototype CorDapps never reach production
- Smart-contract bugs surface late and cost rework
How the program helps
- Ship working CorDapps from the first sprint
- Catch contract flaws in testing, not production
- Reuse one Corda standard across projects
Practice use cases
- Asset tokenization
- Trade finance workflows
- Regulated data sharing
Design and operate a permissioned ledger platform.
Architects and platform engineers master identity, notary services, network operations, and security patterns for enterprise Corda deployments.
Workflow friction
- Hard to evaluate Corda against other DLT platforms
- Node and notary operations are unfamiliar
- Security reviews stall DLT rollouts
How the program helps
- Judge Corda fit with real platform knowledge
- Run nodes and compatibility zones with confidence
- Clear security reviews with proven patterns
Practice use cases
- Platform evaluation
- Network design
- Production operations
Launch DLT products for regulated markets.
Product and innovation leaders in banking, insurance, and capital markets learn where Corda fits and how to take DLT products from pilot to production.
Workflow friction
- DLT pilots stall before business sign-off
- Compliance teams question ledger designs
- Hard to staff Corda delivery teams
How the program helps
- Move pilots to production faster
- Design ledgers that satisfy compliance
- Staff delivery with proven Corda skills
Practice use cases
- Payments and settlement
- Digital identity
- Syndicated lending
Each cohort works through role-relevant hands-on labs, then leaves with a working CorDapp and a production checklist for day-to-day work.
Prerequisites: Participants should have working experience with a JVM language (Kotlin or Java preferred) and core software engineering concepts such as APIs, databases, and version control. No prior blockchain or distributed-ledger experience is required: the first module builds the DLT foundations before any Corda code. Teams new to Gradle or container tooling get a guided setup session before the program starts.
Backend Developer to Production CorDapp Owner
The program takes developers from Corda basics to production ownership: foundation concepts, intermediate CorDapp and network work, then advanced security and a capstone deployment.
Developers and architects grow from Corda fundamentals to shipping production CorDapps as the modules progress.
Mixed cohort, or several teams at once?
We can tailor the training to different teams, roles, and experience levels within the same program.
Certificate of Training Completion.
On successful completion, employees receive an Edstellar course completion certificate, recognizing their commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. It validates the skills they have built and motivates them to keep growing and contribute to organizational success.
Earned, not attended. Awarded on completion of all hands-on labs and the capstone project.

Training Delivery Modes: Virtual, Onsite and Hybrid
Every mode is shaped around your stack and use cases before delivery. The curriculum, hands-on labs, and capstone stay the same in each format, so what your team can do after training never depends on how you run it.

Build Corda Applications With Validated Transactions and Traceable Multi-Party Flows
Edstellar develops enterprise ledger skills through a complete Corda application. Participants model states and contract rules, implement flows, and inspect identity, notary, and vault behavior in a local network. Testing and deployment exercises culminate in a CorDapp review, focused on business-rule enforcement, privacy choices, and observable network behavior.
- Step 01
Consult
We assess JVM programming and software engineering experience to identify gaps in ledger concepts, state modeling, transaction coordination, or Corda network operations.
- Step 02
Plan
We establish permissioned-ledger foundations before states and contracts, flows and CorDapp structure, then identity, notaries, vault queries, security, and deployment testing.
- Step 03
Align
We align Corda development expertise with Kotlin or Java readiness, confirming compatible training tooling and local network resources for guided Gradle and container exercises.
- Step 04
Customize
We adapt sample assets and multi-party business processes to familiar enterprise workflows, using fictional identities and records to test transaction rules and controlled data sharing.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants implement contracts and flows, query vault states, and run MockNetwork tests, receiving feedback on rule enforcement, coordination, privacy boundaries, and deployment evidence.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the CorDapp for validated business transactions, tested flows, coherent identity and notary usage, and documented security and operational assumptions in the local deployment.
