Program Overview: What is Python?
Python is Edstellar's instructor-led technical program for software teams building fluency in the language behind back-end services, automation, and data tooling. Participants cover environments and syntax, idiomatic data handling with collections and modules, object-oriented design, files and exceptions, and professional testing with pytest. Six modules across 24 hours take the team from first scripts to production-quality code.
Training is hands-on from the first module, with guided labs in real Python environments. Participants write idiomatic functions and classes, handle files and data, and build a growing codebase under the instructor's eye. Every exercise is reviewed with direct feedback on style, structure, and test coverage. The program closes with a capstone in which the team builds and tests a complete Python application.
Teams often inherit Python codebases that work by accident: no tests, cryptic structure, and scripts nobody dares to change. This program teaches developers to write Python that is readable, tested, and easy to maintain from the start. Every technique is practiced in labs, so the habits carry directly into the team's own repositories.
The capstone is a complete Python application, built and tested by each participant: clean object-oriented design, robust file and exception handling, and a pytest suite that proves it works. They present the app and defend their design choices, then return with code that sets the standard for how Python gets written on their team.
Six modules and 24 hours: Python environment and language foundations, collections and modules, object-oriented Python, files and exceptions, testing and code quality, and a capstone build of a tested Python application. Every module pairs live instruction with guided labs on your team’s stack.
