Program Overview: What is Clinical AI: Diagnostics, Triage and Decision Support?
Clinical AI: Diagnostics, Triage & Decision Support is Edstellar's instructor-led program for clinicians, clinical informaticists, and health-tech teams evaluating AI where it matters most, patient care. Over 24 hours, participants cover clinical AI foundations and regulation, medical data and EHR integration, diagnostic AI and imaging workflows, triage and decision support systems, and the validation and bias auditing that safe deployment demands. Clinical rigor runs through every module.
Participants work with de-identified clinical datasets in guided labs: training and testing diagnostic models, wiring decision-support rules into triage workflows, and auditing models for bias across patient subgroups. Instructors, clinicians and health-data specialists, challenge teams on safety cases and regulatory evidence. Six practice sessions rehearse the full evaluation cycle before the capstone: a complete clinical AI deployment plan.
AI in healthcare fails most often not on accuracy but on trust: models that work in the lab, collapse on new populations, or cannot explain themselves to the clinician who must act. This program teaches teams to evaluate clinical AI the way medicine evaluates everything else, with validation, subgroup analysis, and a clear-eyed view of where the model should never decide alone.
The capstone is a clinical AI deployment plan for a realistic use case, chosen model, validation evidence, bias audit, workflow integration, monitoring, and the go/no-go recommendation a chief medical officer could sign. From here on, they can tell clinical AI that is ready apart from AI that merely demos well.
Six modules and 24 hours: clinical AI foundations and regulation, medical data integration, diagnostic AI workflows, triage and decision support, validation and bias auditing. Every module pairs concepts with a guided lab, so each technique is practiced. It closes with a capstone deployment plan the team designs, risk-reviews, and presents.
Delivery is hybrid across virtual and onsite sessions, scheduled around your calendar. Cohorts train as one group or split into batches, with session materials and lab guides included for every participant.

Build Critical Clinical AI Evaluation Skills Through Governed Sandbox Practice
Edstellar connects clinical AI concepts with data quality, diagnostic evaluation, triage analysis, and governance. Participants use sample clinical data to inspect predictions and investigate limitations before proposing a pilot. Reviews emphasize validation evidence, bias findings, and human oversight, without treating a training model or deployment plan as clinical approval.
- Step 01
Consult
We assess clinical and data literacy alongside AI-adoption responsibilities to identify gaps in prediction interpretation, data quality, validation, and safety oversight.
- Step 02
Plan
We establish clinical AI foundations before EHR data and FHIR checks, diagnostic assessment, triage thresholds, and bias auditing, then develop pilot governance.
- Step 03
Align
We align clinical AI facilitation with clinician, data, and compliance roles, confirming sandbox access and appropriate support for unfamiliar analytical concepts.
- Step 04
Customize
We adapt sample diagnostic cases, patient records, and triage scenarios to relevant clinical workflows without using identifiable patient data or making care decisions.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants clean records, compare model predictions, tune sample thresholds, and audit bias, receiving feedback on limitations, error interpretation, and governance controls.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the deployment plan for documented validation, explicit bias findings, justified review thresholds, and clear clinical oversight and pilot safeguards.
