Program Overview: What is Business Analysis for Agile Teams?
Business Analysis for Agile Teams is Edstellar's instructor-led program for business analysts, product owners, and agile team members who define what gets built each sprint. Participants master business analysis foundations in agile, then practice elicitation and stakeholder analysis. Seven modules and 26 hours cover user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog refinement, modeling, BDD, and sprint delivery.
The program runs inside simulated sprints. Participants write user stories with testable acceptance criteria, refine real backlogs, model flows for the team, and define done in guided working sessions. Instructors with agile delivery experience coach the judgment calls, when a story is ready, when it's not. The program closes with a capstone delivering end-to-end business analysis across full sprints.
Agile teams drown in vague stories: 'as a user I want stuff' with no acceptance criteria, backlogs that are wish lists, and sprints that deliver motion without value. Velocity without clarity is just fast confusion. This program teaches analysts to give agile teams the one thing sprints can't run without, well-defined, testable work.
The capstone runs the analyst role across complete sprints: elicit from stakeholders, write the stories, set acceptance criteria, refine the backlog, model the flows, and shepherd delivery through change. Instructors assess the sprint artifacts the way a demanding product owner would. Participants finish having done the whole job once, ready to walk into any agile team and make its backlog make sense.
Over seven modules, participants move from foundations to a capstone lab. They practice elicitation and stakeholder analysis, then write user stories with testable acceptance criteria, build story maps and process models, and write Gherkin scenarios in three-amigos sessions. Applied modules cover mid-sprint change and release planning. The program closes with a capstone where participants deliver a complete, sprint-ready backlog from a real-world brief.

Where this Training Fits in Your Team's learning path.
Agile business analysis builds on solid requirements practice rather than replacing it. Your analysts first learn to elicit and model requirements, then apply that skill inside sprints, write acceptance criteria the whole team can test, and grow into product ownership where they decide what gets built next.
