Program Overview: What is ISO 42001 AI Management System Corporate Training?
ISO 42001 AI Management System is for AI governance leads, risk officers, and technology managers building responsible AI programs. It covers AI governance foundations and ISO 42001, plus context, leadership, and planning for an AIMS. Participants work through AI risk and impact assessments, Annex A controls, and AI lifecycle, data, and third-party controls.
The course runs as AIMS build labs where participants scope the management system, run AI risk and impact assessments, and map Annex A controls with instructor coaching. Governance practitioners review each assessment for depth and for honest treatment of high-risk use cases, with feedback on every control decision. Lifecycle and third-party scenarios cover data and vendor risk. It closes with a capstone where teams produce an ISO 42001 implementation roadmap for their organization.
Organizations deploying AI without governance face regulatory action, biased outcomes, and incidents they cannot explain to boards or regulators. Ad hoc AI ethics statements do not survive scrutiny. This program teaches teams to build a real AI management system: risk-assessed, controlled, and auditable under ISO 42001.
The capstone roadmap is an implementation plan the team can actually execute: scoped AIMS, prioritized risk and impact assessments, control implementation sequence, and a monitoring and review cadence, all tied to ISO 42001 clauses. Teams present the roadmap as they would to executive leadership seeking approval. It converts AI governance from aspiration into a scheduled program of work.
Across seven modules, employees work from foundations to certification readiness. They define the scope of an AI management system, run AI risk and impact assessments, map and implement Annex A controls across the AI lifecycle, and design audit programs and management reviews. The program closes with a capstone lab where each cohort builds a phased ISO 42001 implementation roadmap for a realistic enterprise AI portfolio, ready to take back to day-to-day work.

Build AI Management Systems Around Risks, Impacts, and Accountable Controls
Edstellar connects ISO 42001 requirements with the governance work surrounding an enterprise AI portfolio. Participants scope an AIMS, assess risks and impacts, and map controls across data, lifecycle, and vendor activities. The implementation roadmap brings these decisions together, reviewed for ownership, control justification, audit planning, and a realistic sequence of improvements.
- Step 01
Consult
We explore AI oversight responsibilities, portfolio visibility, and inconsistencies in risk, impact, or vendor reviews to identify the cohort's management-system design and evidence needs.
- Step 02
Plan
We establish ISO 42001 context and leadership before risk and impact assessments, then connect Annex A controls, lifecycle governance, and management review in the phased roadmap.
- Step 03
Align
We align AI governance expertise with risk, legal, audit, product, and data roles, supporting management-system decisions without assuming participants have AI engineering experience.
- Step 04
Customize
We adapt enterprise AI use cases and multi-vendor scenarios to familiar deployments, retaining data and stakeholder impacts that require explicit control ownership and justification.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants draft AIMS scope and policy, assess AI risks and impacts, and map controls, receiving feedback on assessment depth, lifecycle coverage, and vendor responsibilities.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the roadmap for traceable risk and impact decisions, justified controls, clear accountability, and credible sequencing of implementation, monitoring, internal audit, and management review.
