Program Overview: What is Compensation, Benefits and Pay Transparency?
Compensation, Benefits & Pay Transparency is a 16-hour program for HR, total rewards, and people teams. It covers compensation and total rewards foundations, designing benefits employees value, pay transparency in practice, pay equity analysis and fairness checks, and talent frameworks with career paths. Teams build the confidence to run transparent, defensible reward programs day to day.
Training runs across six modules with four practice sessions built around real reward decisions. Participants design benefit mixes, draft pay transparency communications, run equity analyses and fairness checks, and map career paths to pay bands. Instructors coach each exercise, sharpening analytics basics, talent frameworks, and the communication that makes transparency work. The program closes with a capstone in which teams review their own total rewards practice end to end.
Opaque pay breeds suspicion no engagement survey can fix: whispered comparisons, star performers earning less than new hires, managers dodging every pay question. Unexplained pay gaps become legal and retention risk. This program teaches teams to run rewards in the open: analyzing equity, communicating pay decisions honestly, and designing benefits and career paths people can see themselves in.
The capstone turns the lens inward: each team conducts a full review of its own total rewards practice. The review covers pay structures, benefit design, transparency posture, equity check results, and career path clarity, and it closes with a prioritized fix list the team can defend to leadership. Nobody leaves with theory alone; everyone leaves with a marked-up picture of their own rewards system and the next three moves to improve it.
Over six modules, teams move from total rewards foundations to a capstone review of their own compensation and benefits practice. The program builds the skills buyers ask for most: people analytics basics, talent frameworks, and the confidence to run transparent reward programs day to day.

Where this Training Fits in Your Team's learning path.
Compensation and benefits design follows HR basics and payroll, because reward structures only work if the team understands how pay is actually processed. With grades, ranges and benefits in place, the path moves to the EU Pay Transparency Directive, which tests whether your pay structures can be explained and defended.

Explain Total Rewards Decisions Through Clear Pay Structures and Fairness Review
Edstellar connects compensation foundations with benefits design, pay transparency, and career progression. Participants examine fictional roles and equity findings, then rehearse conversations about pay ranges and correction plans. The final review assesses how clearly the proposed rewards approach explains its assumptions, supports fairness, and communicates choices without creating unintended commitments.
- Step 01
Consult
We explore pay and benefits responsibilities to identify gaps in grading, market-data interpretation, transparency conversations, equity analysis, and career-step pricing.
- Step 02
Plan
We establish total rewards foundations before benefits comparisons and pay-range conversations, then equity checks, career paths, and the integrated rewards review.
- Step 03
Align
We align rewards facilitation with HR, people-partner, and manager roles, adapting scenarios to policy familiarity and the cohort's current transparency goals.
- Step 04
Customize
We tailor sample roles, market benchmarks, and equity cases to representative job levels, avoiding identifiable employee pay records and unapproved compensation commitments.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants map grades, compare benefits, and rehearse pay conversations, receiving feedback on fairness reasoning, clear explanations, and appropriate handling of difficult questions.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the rewards review for coherent pay structures, transparent assumptions, evidence-supported fairness actions, and a clear, policy-consistent communication plan.
