Program Overview: What is Recruitment and Sourcing?

Recruitment & Sourcing is an instructor-led program for talent acquisition teams, recruiters, and hiring managers filling roles with the right people, faster. Participants learn sourcing foundations and workforce planning, Boolean and x-ray search, structured interviewing and assessment, offer management, and hiring metrics. Every technique is practiced on realistic requisitions.

Across five modules and 14 hours, the team moves from sourcing foundations to a capstone hiring cycle. Sessions use realistic requisitions from the organization, with instructors coaching Boolean search, candidate mapping, structured interviews, and offer strategy through guided exercises. Every technique transfers directly to daily work, from first search to accepted offer. The program closes with a capstone where each team runs a full hiring cycle and presents process improvements backed by metrics.

Hiring fails slowly and expensively: weak pipelines, unstructured interviews that reward confidence over competence, offers lost to poor negotiation, and no metrics to show where the process breaks. Teams feel the pain in vacant roles and mis-hires. This program rebuilds the hiring workflow end to end, so each cycle is faster, fairer, and measurable.

The capstone is a full hiring cycle on a live requisition. Each team sources candidates with advanced search, maps the talent pool, runs structured interviews with scoring rubrics, manages the offer and negotiation, and reports hiring metrics with process improvement recommendations. Instructors review the cycle for sourcing quality, assessment rigor, and fairness. The team returns with a repeatable hiring playbook and the metrics discipline to keep improving it.

Across five modules, your team moves from sourcing foundations to a capstone hiring cycle. Sessions use realistic requisitions from your organization, so every technique transfers directly to daily work, from first search to accepted offer.

Build Structured Hiring Workflows Through Sourcing, Interview Practice, and Evidence Review

Edstellar develops recruitment skills through a complete mock requisition. Participants clarify role needs, practice targeted search, and conduct structured interviews before rehearsing offers and onboarding handoffs. The final hiring plan is reviewed for consistent role criteria, evidence-based assessment, and useful process metrics rather than unsupported judgments about individual candidates.

  1. Step 01

    Consult

We explore hiring responsibilities, requisition clarity, and sourcing experience to identify gaps in search strategy, interview structure, candidate evidence, or offer and onboarding coordination.

  2. Step 02

    Plan

We establish workforce needs and role requirements before sourcing channels and Boolean search, then connect structured interviews, offer practice, and hiring-process review.

  3. Step 03

    Align

We align recruitment and interview facilitation expertise with talent acquisition and hiring-manager roles, selecting practice depth suited to the cohort's hiring volumes and experience.

  4. Step 04

    Customize

We adapt fictional requisitions and candidate profiles to familiar role families, keeping assessment criteria job-related and avoiding real applicant information in interview scoring exercises.

  5. Step 05

    Execute

Participants build mock shortlists, conduct scored role-play interviews, and rehearse offer handoffs, receiving feedback on search precision, evidence consistency, and the clarity of candidate communication.

  6. Step 06

    Evaluate

We assess the mock hiring cycle for defined role requirements, consistent interview evidence, coordinated handoffs, and process measures that support justified improvements to recruitment practice.
