Program Overview: What is First Aid and CPR Awareness?
First Aid & CPR Awareness is a 24-hour program for employees, safety representatives, and community members who want to respond when someone is hurt. Participants learn scene safety and initial assessment, vital signs and patient handling, bleeding, wound, and shock control, CPR and AED use for all ages, and how to handle common workplace medical emergencies.
Every skill is practiced on mannequins and in realistic scenarios. Participants rehearse CPR and AED use until compressions are correct, control simulated bleeding with direct pressure and tourniquets, manage shock, and work through full medical emergency scenarios from discovery to handover. Instructors correct technique relentlessly, because in a real emergency only practiced skills surface. The program closes with a full emergency response drill.
In a medical emergency, the minutes before professionals arrive decide outcomes, and most bystanders do nothing. Untrained people hesitate, fearing they will make things worse. This program replaces hesitation with practiced action, so participants step forward with skills they have already performed under pressure.
The capstone is an emergency response drill: participants respond to a simulated multi-casualty scenario, triaging, performing CPR, using the AED, and coordinating until handover. What they prove is the ability to act when it counts.
Upskill teams through hands-on practice: each module pairs essential theory with guided labs on manikins, bandaging stations, and AED trainers. Focus on emergency readiness and repeatable workplace safety skills.
