Program Overview: What is Fire Safety and Fire Warden Training?
Fire Safety & Fire Warden Training is a 24-hour program for designated fire wardens, safety representatives, and facility teams. Participants learn fire science and hazard identification, fire protection systems and equipment, emergency response and evacuation planning, warden duties and incident command, and fire risk assessment for their sites.
Wardens train for their actual role, not a generic certificate. Labs cover hazard identification walkthroughs of real spaces, equipment checks and maintenance routines, evacuation coordination across floors, and incident command handover to arriving emergency services. Instructors drill participants on the warden's specific duties until the response is automatic and calm. The program ends with a capstone: a complete site fire safety plan validated by a live drill.
A fire warden who has never practiced is a title, not a capability. Untrained wardens freeze, miss sweep zones, and delay evacuations when seconds matter. This program builds wardens who can take command of a floor with confidence, so evacuations are led instead of improvised.
The capstone is a site fire safety plan and live drill: each participant produces the fire safety plan for their own site, then leads a live evacuation drill that tests it. They return as wardens who have already led an evacuation before the real one.
Your team also learns to run structured fire risk assessments, document findings, and keep audit-ready records. The capstone brings it all together: a complete site fire safety plan plus a timed evacuation drill your team can repeat. Content adapts to your buildings, shifts, and equipment, so every cohort practices on scenarios that match its own sites.

Build Practical Fire Warden Readiness Through Planning and Coordinated Drills
Edstellar prepares fire wardens to connect hazard awareness with clear responsibilities during an emergency. Participants examine sample layouts, map protection equipment, and develop evacuation and handover procedures. A site-planning exercise and coordinated drill bring these elements together, with feedback on role clarity, communication, accountability, and opportunities identified during the debrief.
- Step 01
Consult
We review participants' warden duties, familiarity with building layouts, and gaps in evacuation coordination, equipment awareness, or emergency-service handover procedures.
- Step 02
Plan
Fire hazards and protection systems establish the foundation for evacuation planning, warden duties, risk assessment, and the integrated safety-plan and drill exercise.
- Step 03
Align
We align fire safety facilitation with facilities and warden responsibilities, confirming building, shift, and practice arrangements before planning the evacuation exercises.
- Step 04
Customize
Sample floor plans, occupancy patterns, and equipment maps are adapted to familiar building conditions while preserving attention to exits, assembly points, and role allocation.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants identify hazards, prepare evacuation routes, and rehearse sweep and roll-call responsibilities, receiving feedback on communication, coordination, and the handover checklist.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the fire safety plan and drill debrief for covered hazards, coherent routes, explicit responsibilities, accurate accountability procedures, and actionable improvement findings.
