Program Overview: What is Personality and Team Dynamics (MBTI/DISC)?
Personality & Team Dynamics (MBTI/DISC) is Edstellar's instructor-led program for teams that want to work better together. Participants learn MBTI preferences and types, DISC styles and behaviors, and how to read communication styles and flex their own approach. The focus stays on using personality insight to reduce friction and get work done.
Across 12 hours, participants take validated MBTI and DISC assessments, then explore what the results mean in a facilitated session that goes beyond stereotypes. Style-reading exercises use real workplace scenarios, and participants practice flexing their communication with instructor coaching. The program closes with a team dynamics action plan built for the participant's actual team.
Most team friction is mislabeled as attitude when it is actually style: a direct communicator sounds harsh to a diplomatic one, a planner frustrates an improviser. This program teaches participants to read those differences accurately and adjust, turning personality insight into a practical tool for collaboration instead of a label.
The closing exercise is a team dynamics action plan: each participant maps the working styles on their real team, identifies the three friction points that cost the most time, and writes the specific adjustments they will make in how they brief, give feedback, and run meetings. It turns a personality assessment into a to-do list for the next month.
The program stays grounded in everyday work: your team practices giving feedback to different styles, running meetings that work for introverts and extroverts alike, and resolving the small frictions that compound into team dysfunction. Role plays use realistic teammate profiles so every skill transfers directly to the next standup, review, or planning session.

Explore Team Preferences Through Reflective Models and Adaptable Communication Practice
Edstellar uses MBTI and DISC concepts as prompts for examining work preferences and communication. Participants reflect on patterns, practice alternative feedback approaches, and discuss team interactions without treating labels as definitive explanations of individuals. The final action plan is reviewed for respectful flexibility, observable behavior, and practical improvements to collaboration.
- Step 01
Consult
We explore recurring team friction and communication goals to identify needs in preference reflection, feedback flexibility, and checking assumptions about other people's working styles.
- Step 02
Plan
We introduce workplace personality concepts before MBTI and DISC reflection, then rehearse adaptable communication ahead of the team dynamics action plan.
- Step 03
Align
We align team-development facilitation with participants' roles and collaboration experience, presenting assessment concepts as reflective tools rather than diagnoses or fixed predictions of behavior.
- Step 04
Customize
Fictional feedback and meeting scenarios reflect relevant team interactions, allowing tailored communication practice without assigning personality labels to colleagues or requiring disclosure of assessment results.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants compare communication approaches, rehearse feedback, and test difficult conversations, receiving feedback on observable responses, respectful questions, and flexibility rather than assumed personality categories.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the team plan for practical communication adjustments, inclusive participation, checked understanding, and specific behaviors to review, without using type labels to determine anyone's suitability.
