Program Overview: What is Cloudflare Platform and Edge Development?
Cloudflare Platform & Edge Development is an instructor-led program for developers and platform engineers who build on Cloudflare's edge. Over 34 hours and eight modules, participants work through edge foundations and platform setup, Workers serverless compute, Pages, KV and R2 storage, D1 and Durable Objects for stateful edge, edge networking, security at the edge, and observability and cost. The program ends with a full-stack edge application capstone.
Labs run on live Cloudflare tooling from the first session, with the instructor guiding every step from first deploy to hardened production rollout. Participants build Workers, wire up KV, R2, and D1, configure DNS, CDN and routing, and layer WAF and Zero Trust controls, practicing the workflows they will own on the job. Each module connects services to operational outcomes: faster releases, lower spend, tighter security. The capstone asks teams to ship a complete full-stack edge application and defend the architecture in review.

Each team's build is reviewed by the instructor against production standards. Participants return able to ship edge applications with confidence and to explain to stakeholders exactly how the edge changes their latency, resilience, and cost picture.
