Program Overview: What is Microsoft Azure Developer?
Microsoft Azure Developer is Edstellar's instructor-led program for developers building and shipping applications on the Azure platform. It is designed for application developers moving to the cloud, and covers App Service, containers, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, storage, Entra ID, Key Vault, and messaging patterns. Participants work the full developer loop: code, deploy, secure, integrate, and optimize.
Training runs as build-and-ship labs in live Azure environments from the first day. Participants deploy apps to App Service and containers, build serverless workflows with Functions, wire data through Cosmos DB and storage, and secure everything with Entra ID and Key Vault. Instructors review live deployments, pushing back on sloppy configs and praising clean architecture. The program closes with a capstone where each developer builds, secures, and optimizes a complete Azure application.
Developers often ship Azure apps that work in demo but fall apart in production: secrets in code, no monitoring, costs spiraling. This program teaches the production mindset: managed identity over connection strings, observability from day one, and performance tuned before users complain. The result is Azure applications that survive contact with real users.
The proof of work is the Build, Secure and Optimize capstone: a complete Azure application with serverless and data components, Entra ID authentication, Key Vault secrets, messaging integration, and a performance tune-up, deployed live and walked through end to end.
Across 28 hours of live sessions, your team moves from Azure developer foundations to a reviewed capstone solution. Modules focus on your training needs in compute, serverless, data, security, and cost control, with hands-on labs throughout.
By the end, participants can build, deploy, secure, and cost-optimize Azure solutions, and your team gains shared standards for shipping cloud applications that perform.

Prerequisites: This program suits developers, engineers, and IT teams building on Azure. Familiarity with a programming language and basic cloud concepts helps but is not required; no prior Azure experience is needed. Every cohort's labs adapt to the team's tools, subscriptions, and delivery context.
Software Developer to Azure Developer
Skill levels track the program's own arc: developer foundations in modules 1 to 2, guided serverless, data, and security practice in modules 3 to 5, advanced integration patterns in module 6, and full solution delivery in the capstone.
One program that grows with Azure developer careers, from foundations to confident cloud delivery.

Connect Azure Application Development With Identity, Messaging, and Cost-Aware Design
Edstellar develops Azure application skills through connected compute, data, and integration exercises. Participants deploy web and container workloads, build functions, and secure service access before linking messaging components. The final solution is reviewed as an integrated application, with attention to functional behavior, identity choices, and evidence behind performance and cost decisions.
- Step 01
Consult
We explore programming experience and application goals to identify support needed in Azure deployment, serverless workflows, data access, service identity, and integration patterns.
- Step 02
Plan
We progress from developer tooling to App Service and containers, Azure Functions, data services, and security, then integrate messaging in the final solution build.
- Step 03
Align
We align Azure development expertise with engineers' programming backgrounds and delivery context, confirming appropriate subscription and tool arrangements for application deployment and integration practice.
- Step 04
Customize
Sample applications and message flows reflect familiar business workflows, enabling tailored trigger, storage, and gateway exercises without connecting training builds to live customer systems.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants deploy apps, compose function workflows, connect data services, and implement managed identity and messaging, receiving feedback on integration behavior, access boundaries, and tuning choices.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We review the integrated Azure application for working compute and messaging flows, appropriate identity controls, justified data choices, and supported performance and cost recommendations.
