Program Overview: What is Red Hat OpenShift Administration?
Red Hat OpenShift Administration is Edstellar's instructor-led program for platform engineers and infrastructure teams responsible for running OpenShift clusters in production. Participants learn the OpenShift control plane, cluster installation, networking and routes, persistent storage, security and RBAC, monitoring, logging, and upgrades. The focus stays on day-two operations: the administration skills that keep enterprise clusters healthy.
Training is hands-on from the first module. Participants install OpenShift clusters on lab infrastructure with installer-provisioned workflows, then manage day-two operations through the oc CLI and web console in guided labs. Instructors coach your team through networking, routes, storage classes, security context constraints, and RBAC with direct feedback on every exercise. The program closes with a capstone where the team deploys and hardens a multi-service application on a fresh cluster topology.
Platform teams often inherit OpenShift clusters that limp along: networking added as an afterthought, permissions nobody can explain, and upgrades everyone dreads. This program teaches your administrators to run OpenShift deliberately, with security, storage, and network controls designed in from the start. Every skill is practiced on real clusters, so the learning transfers straight to production.
The capstone is a full production-like operations exercise: your team designs a namespace and project topology, deploys a multi-service application end to end, wires in networking, storage, and security controls, and defends the running cluster in front of reviewers. They return able to keep OpenShift clusters observable, secure, and current without the firefighting.
From architecture and installation to day-two operations like monitoring, backups, and upgrades, the program covers the full administration lifecycle. Every module pairs instruction with guided labs, so learning transfers to your clusters. The capstone has your team operate a production-like environment end to end.
Whether adopting OpenShift for the first time or standardizing operations, your team builds the shared skills and runbooks that keep the platform reliable, with lab environments prepared for your cohort.
