Program Overview: What is Azure Security Engineering?
Azure Security Engineering is Edstellar's instructor-led technical program for cloud, platform, and security teams running workloads on Microsoft Azure. Participants master the shared responsibility model, identity with Microsoft Entra ID, virtual network security, data protection and encryption, plus detection, logging, and incident response. It is designed for teams who own Azure security posture every day.
Training is hands-on from the first module. Each of the six modules pairs concise concept briefings with guided labs in a live Azure tenant, where participants configure Entra ID policies, lock down virtual networks, apply encryption, and build detection queries. Instructors coach in the room, reviewing configurations and correcting missteps before they become habits. The program closes with a capstone: teams design and implement a secure multi-subscription landing zone, then defend their choices in review.
Most Azure breaches trace back to misconfiguration: over-permissive identities, flat networks, unencrypted data, blind spots in logging. Teams inherit these gaps and discover them during incidents, when fixes cost the most. This program teaches engineers to build Azure environments that are secure by design, with every control verified before anything ships.
The program ends with the capstone: each team designs and implements a secure multi-subscription Azure landing zone with identity, network, data, and detection controls, then defends it in review. What your team takes home is not a certificate but a proven build pattern: the same landing zone discipline they will apply to every subscription they touch next.
Six modules and 24 hours: Azure security foundations, identity with Microsoft Entra ID, network security and virtual network design, data protection and encryption, and detection, logging, and incident response. Every module pairs concepts with a guided lab, so each technique is practiced. It closes with a capstone secure landing zone build the team delivers against a realistic multi-subscription environment.
