Program Overview: What is Microsoft Entra ID?

Microsoft Entra ID is Edstellar's instructor-led program for identity and security engineers protecting the modern enterprise. It covers identity architecture, users and groups, hybrid identity, authentication, conditional access, privileged access, access reviews, app integration, and monitoring. Participants learn to make identity the strongest control in the environment, not the weakest link.

Training is hardening-focused, with participants configuring identity controls in live tenants from the start. Each module pairs guided setup with labs in conditional access policies, privileged access management, and app integration. Instructors probe each configuration the way an attacker would, exposing the gaps polite checklists miss. The program closes with a capstone where participants execute a full identity hardening project.

Most breaches start with identity: phished credentials, overprivileged accounts, and access nobody reviewed. This program teaches defense in depth for identity: phishing-resistant authentication, least-privilege access, and continuous review. The payoff is an identity plane that stops attacks instead of enabling them.

The last hurdle is the Identity Hardening Project capstone: a tenant assessment followed by implemented fixes across authentication, conditional access, privileged roles, and monitoring, presented with a before-and-after security posture.

Across six modules your team moves from identity fundamentals to a capstone enterprise identity hardening project. You will configure hybrid sync, enforce Conditional Access, manage privileged roles with PIM, respond to identity risks, integrate apps with SSO, and monitor sign-in health. The program closes with a full hardening review against your identity requirements, so the skill transfers directly to your tenant.

Build Tested Entra Identity Controls Across Lifecycle, Access, and Monitoring

Edstellar develops identity administration capability through connected Entra ID lab scenarios. Participants configure lifecycle processes, test Conditional Access, and examine privileged roles before integrating applications and reviewing sign-in evidence. The hardening capstone is assessed through demonstrated control behavior, documented recovery access, and clear reasoning about gaps that remain.

  1. Step 01

    Consult

We examine identity responsibilities, tenant familiarity, and current lifecycle or access challenges to identify training priorities in provisioning, Conditional Access, privileged roles, and monitoring.

  2. Step 02

    Plan

We establish identity architecture before users and hybrid synchronization, then develop authentication policies, privileged access, and application integration ahead of the hardening capstone.

  3. Step 03

    Align

We align identity administration and security expertise with IT operations, security engineers, and helpdesk leads, calibrating lab support to the cohort's tenant maturity.

  4. Step 04

    Customize

Sample users, groups, applications, and sign-in scenarios reflect familiar identity patterns, enabling relevant policy and access-review exercises without changing operational accounts or authentication settings.

  5. Step 05

    Execute

Participants test policies in report-only mode, verify provisioning, configure privileged access, and inspect sign-in logs, receiving feedback on control behavior and recovery-account verification.

  6. Step 06

    Evaluate

We assess the hardening project for validated provisioning and authentication behavior, justified privilege controls, checked recovery access, and monitoring evidence that supports identified remediation needs.
