Program Overview: What is PySpark?
PySpark is Edstellar's instructor-led technical program for data engineers and analytics teams building production data pipelines on Apache Spark. Participants cover distributed computing foundations, DataFrames and Spark SQL, data ingestion and storage optimization, Structured Streaming, performance tuning, and deployment. Six modules across 24 hours move from Spark fundamentals to pipelines that run reliably in production.
Training is hands-on from the first module, with guided labs in real Spark environments. Participants write DataFrame transformations and Spark SQL queries, build ingestion and storage layers, and stand up real-time streaming pipelines against realistic datasets. Instructors review every exercise with direct feedback on correctness, partitioning, and performance. The program closes with a capstone in which the team ships an end-to-end data pipeline.
Data teams often limp along with slow jobs, brittle pipelines, and streaming code that fails silently at 2 a.m. This program teaches engineers to design for distribution, tune jobs deliberately, and build pipelines that recover gracefully. Every technique is practiced in labs on realistic data, so the skills transfer straight to the team's own stack.
The capstone is a production-style end-to-end pipeline: ingesting raw data, transforming it with DataFrames and Spark SQL, streaming updates in real time, and tuning the whole job for performance before deployment. Each team presents the pipeline, its design trade-offs, and its monitoring story, then returns to the office with a reference implementation the org can genuinely copy.
Each module pairs proven data engineering methods with guided hands-on labs on realistic datasets, so learners leave with working pipelines, tuned jobs, and templates they can apply to their own data platforms immediately.

PySpark Course Topics and Program Outline
Six modules take learners from Spark foundations to a scored end-to-end pipeline capstone, with guided hands-on labs in every module.
Built by Edstellar with data engineers
Built by data engineers who build and tune Spark pipelines on real data platforms, shaped around your stack and use cases.
We review your data platform, pipeline bottlenecks, and team experience so the program targets the skills that matter most.
Your team learns how distributed processing works: Spark architecture, RDDs, and how PySpark scales Python workloads.
Teams run guided hands-on labs on DataFrames, Spark SQL, ingestion, and streaming with instructor feedback.
Learners build a production-grade pipeline in the capstone and leave with code they can apply immediately.
A scored end-to-end pipeline capstone closes the program, testing every team on correctness and performance.
