Program Overview: What is Enterprise Architecture with TOGAF?
Enterprise Architecture with TOGAF is a 24-hour program for enterprise and solution architects and IT leaders who must run architecture with a disciplined standard. It covers the full Architecture Development Method: vision, business, information systems, and technology architecture, plus migration planning and governance. Participants practice on realistic business cases, building artifacts they can defend in front of stakeholders.
Learning is hands-on from the first module. Each of the six modules pairs a short concept session with guided labs where teams model architecture views for a shared case study, and instructors who have run enterprise architectures in production review every artifact. Three practice sessions give teams room to rework their models, challenge each other's assumptions, and sharpen the migration plan. Feedback is specific and architectural: traceability, governance fit, and decision rationale, not just diagrams.
Most enterprise architectures fail quietly: decisions documented nowhere, migration plans nobody funds, governance boards that rubber-stamp. The program teaches teams to run the ADM as a working discipline: vision tied to business outcomes, views that trace to decisions, and roadmaps with funding and sequencing. Architecture stops being shelfware and starts steering investment.
The capstone runs the whole method end to end: teams take a fresh business case through architecture vision, business and systems modeling, technology architecture, and migration planning, then defend the package in a governance-style review. Instructors probe every weak link, from unproven assumptions to hand-wavy roadmaps. Participants finish with a complete, review-tested architecture pack and the working habit of running every major decision through the ADM.
Six modules and 24 hours: TOGAF fundamentals and the ADM, architecture vision and business architecture, information systems architectures, technology architecture and solutions, migration planning and governance. Every module pairs concepts with a guided lab, so each technique is practiced. It closes with a capstone in which the team runs the ADM on a business case and presents the resulting architecture.
Delivery is hybrid across virtual and onsite sessions, scheduled around your calendar. Cohorts train as one group or split into batches, with session materials and lab guides included for every participant.

Where this Training Fits in Your Team's learning path.
TOGAF comes after your team has mapped business capabilities, because the framework needs a clear view of what the business does. With that view in place, TOGAF structures architecture work, which then guides system design and modernisation with domain-driven design.

Apply the TOGAF ADM Through Connected Architecture Views and Governed Migration
Edstellar develops TOGAF application through architecture vision, business and information-system views, technology choices, and migration governance. Teams work through one business case to maintain traceability across ADM phases. The final review examines consistent architecture artifacts, justified solution tradeoffs, and a workable migration and governance approach rather than treating framework familiarity as sufficient capability.
- Step 01
Consult
We assess architecture experience and programme responsibilities, identifying gaps in ADM navigation, stakeholder concerns, cross-view traceability, solution tradeoffs, and migration governance.
- Step 02
Plan
We establish TOGAF and ADM foundations before vision and business architecture, then data, application, and technology views, followed by migration planning and governance.
- Step 03
Align
We align enterprise-architecture facilitation with architects, strategists, and transformation leads, introducing ADM concepts and matching case support to their prior architecture or IT experience.
- Step 04
Customize
We tailor a sample business transformation, stakeholder concerns, and current-to-target gaps to relevant operating models, preserving traceability across every architecture view and migration decision.
- Step 05
Execute
Teams draft vision documents, link information-system views, compare technology options, and prepare roadmaps, receiving feedback on ADM consistency, tradeoffs, and governance evidence.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the case architecture for connected ADM artifacts, supported solution choices, feasible migration sequencing, and clear review and repository-maintenance arrangements.
