Program Overview: What is SAP FICO?
SAP FICO is Edstellar's instructor-led program for finance teams running SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling. It covers the S/4HANA financials landscape, general ledger configuration, accounts payable and receivable workflows, asset accounting and bank operations, and controlling with cost centers and profitability. Participants learn to close the books and control costs inside SAP.
Training is hands-on from the first module, with guided labs in a live SAP finance environment. Participants configure the general ledger, run AP and AR cycles, manage assets, and build controlling allocations. Instructors coach on finance discipline, reviewing each posting before bad habits form. The final five and a half hours are a capstone: run a complete period-end close simulation.
Finance teams without confident SAP skills close the books slowly: manual journals, reconciliations that never tie, and controlling reports nobody trusts. Close cycles stretch for weeks. This program teaches teams to run finance inside SAP properly: structured postings, disciplined AP and AR, and controlling that explains where the money went.
The capstone is a full Period-End Close Simulation: your team posts journals, runs AP and AR, settles internal orders, allocates costs, and produces the close reports management expects. Instructors review the close the way a controller would, checking reconciliation discipline, and the team leaves with the close checklist and posting templates they built during the simulation.
The program covers the S/4HANA finance architecture in depth: universal journal postings, document splitting, payment runs, depreciation, cost center accounting, and profitability reporting. It closes with a capstone where each team executes a full period-end close simulation and hands over close checklists.

Connect SAP Financial Accounting With Controlled Costs and Reconciled Close
Edstellar develops SAP FICO capability through connected accounting and controlling activities. Participants configure financial structures, process sample transactions, examine assets and banking, and build cost plans. A simulated month-end close is reviewed for accurate postings, consistent settlements, and a clear explanation of the resulting financial information.

Consult
We explore accounting knowledge, month-end responsibilities, and reconciliation challenges to identify support needed for SAP financial configuration, transaction processing, and controlling.
- Step 02
Plan
Financials foundations lead into organizational setup and ledgers, AP and AR, assets and banking, and cost management before the period-end simulation.
- Step 03
Align
SAP finance expertise supports accounting professionals with varied system experience, connecting debits, credits, and close routines to the relevant configuration and transactions.
- Step 04
Customize
A fictional company's ledger, asset, payment, and cost-center records provide realistic practice without using confidential accounts or processing actual financial transactions.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants configure accounts, post journals, build cost-center plans, and run settlements, receiving feedback on posting accuracy, integration effects, and close evidence.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the simulated close for reconciled balances, coherent controlling results, correctly handled accounting scenarios, and a clear explanation of outstanding differences.
