Program Overview: What is Working at Height and Fall Protection?
Working at Height & Fall Protection is an instructor-led safety program for site workers, maintenance teams, facilities staff, and supervisors overseeing elevated work. Over 24 hours and six modules, teams learn to identify fall hazards, select and use fall protection systems, plan and drill rescues, and document inspections and compliance. All learning runs through guided hands-on labs with real equipment.
Training pairs concise safety briefings with hands-on drills using real harnesses, anchors, connectors, and inspection gear. Instructors walk teams through hazard identification, equipment selection, and anchorage setup on practice structures, then run timed rescue drills with direct feedback after every repetition. The program closes with a capstone where each team builds a complete site fall protection plan and defends its equipment choices.
Falls are one of the deadliest site hazards, and most incidents share the same gaps: late-spotted hazards, wrong equipment, rescue plans that exist only on paper. This program teaches your people to assess every elevated task, match the system to the hazard, and drill rescue until it is muscle memory. The drills use real gear, so the competence goes back to site with them.
The capstone is a site-specific fall protection plan: documented hazard assessments, equipment selections with anchorage ratings, a step-by-step rescue procedure drilled in person, and inspection and compliance checklists the team can use from the first shift. Each team presents its plan, demonstrates the rescue drill, and returns with worksheets and rescue plans ready for their own sites.
Six modules and 24 hours: fall protection fundamentals, hazard identification and risk assessment, system and equipment selection, anchorage and rescue planning, inspection and compliance documentation, and a capstone site fall protection plan. Each module pairs concise concept delivery with a guided lab using real harnesses, anchors, and inspection gear, so teams leave with worksheets, checklists, and rescue plans they can use at their own sites immediately.

Where this Training Fits in Your Team's learning path.
Working at height and fall protection come second, after hazard assessment. Your team assesses risk first, then plans and protects work above ground. The path then moves to wider construction site safety and ends with managing the contractors who often do work at height.

Plan Work at Height With Evidence-Based Controls and Clear Rescue Responsibilities
Edstellar develops fall-protection understanding through guided hazard assessment, equipment inspection, and site planning. Participants connect task risks with control selection, anchorage considerations, and rescue arrangements before documenting their decisions. A sample site plan is reviewed for the quality of risk reasoning, inspection evidence, and responsibility allocation within the supplied scenarios.
- Step 01
Consult
We explore elevated-work responsibilities and safety experience, identifying gaps in hazard recognition, control selection, equipment inspection, clearance concepts, and planning for rescue and supervision.
- Step 02
Plan
We establish fall-protection principles and risk assessment, examine systems and equipment, then connect anchorage and rescue planning with inspection records and a complete site plan.
- Step 03
Align
We align work-at-height safety expertise with workers, maintenance teams, and supervisors, confirming suitable supervised practice arrangements and matching scenarios to participants' task responsibilities.
- Step 04
Customize
We adapt a mock work area and sample equipment records to familiar elevated tasks, retaining hazard, inspection, and rescue decisions without directing unsupervised work at height.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants assess mock hazards, inspect sample harnesses and lanyards, and develop rescue arrangements, receiving feedback on control reasoning, identified defects, documentation, and assigned responsibilities.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the site plan for supported hazard priorities, appropriate control choices, complete inspection records, and clear rescue and supervision arrangements justified against the training scenario.
