Program Overview: What is Asset Integrity and Inspection Management Corporate Training?
Asset Integrity & Inspection Management is a 17-hour program for asset, integrity, inspection, and reliability engineers who want to run inspection programs with confidence. Across six modules, participants cover integrity foundations, risk-based inspection planning, inspection techniques and NDE, damage mechanisms, integrity operating windows, and inspection data. The program builds toward a capstone where learners plan a full turnaround inspection program.
Training is built around guided labs and hands-on practice with experienced engineers. Participants work through risk matrices, ultrasonic testing scenarios, and inspection planning exercises grounded in plant equipment. Instructors coach each lab closely, giving direct feedback on technique and judgment so learners correct their approach before the next task. The program closes with a capstone where each learner plans and defends a complete inspection program.
Plants without strong integrity management pay for it the hard way: unplanned shutdowns, equipment failures, and inspection budgets spent on the wrong equipment. This program teaches engineers to rank risk properly, choose the right method for each damage mechanism, and keep inspection data clean enough to drive decisions. Learners learn to stretch budgets further by focusing inspection effort where failure consequence is highest.
They plan a turnaround inspection, contractors, quality, findings tracking, the way it happens on a real shutdown. Integrity management becomes a practiced discipline, not a binder on a shelf.
Unplanned equipment failures are expensive. A single loss of containment can halt production, trigger regulatory action, and put people at risk. Participants learn how risk-based inspection focuses effort on the assets and damage mechanisms that matter most, then practice the same planning, NDE selection, and data workflows they will use on the plant.
The result: integrity engineers who plan by risk, inspectors who choose the right technique the first time, and leaders who see integrity performance in clear KPIs. Inspection programs run on evidence, findings close on time, and assets stay safe and reliable across the plant.

Asset Integrity and Inspection Management Course Topics and Program Outline
Six modules move from integrity foundations to a live inspection-plan capstone. Every lab uses real plant scenarios, and content is tailored to your industry, equipment, and inspection data.
Built by Edstellar with asset integrity practitioners
Built by practitioners with 5+ years of asset integrity and inspection experience, shaped around your assets and inspection programs.
Baseline each participant's asset integrity readiness before module 01 begins
Build strong asset integrity foundations in instructor-led sessions for your team
Reinforce skills through guided hands-on labs on real inspection and integrity cases
Apply inspection skills to real-world scenarios and a capstone asset integrity project
A short pre-training assessment sets each participant's entry level, so the program starts where your team actually is. The rest is weighted toward hands-on practice: inspection labs and integrity case work drawn from your team's assets, not slides.

d)Roles: owners, operators, inspection teams
Plan inspections by risk. Work through the API 580 RBI methodology: likelihood and consequence of failure, risk matrices, and risk-ranked equipment lists. Set inspection intervals that focus effort where failure matters most. Practice: build an RBI plan for a pressure vessel scenario.

d)MPI, DPI and eddy current basics
e)Selecting NDE by damage mechanism
Read the failure before it happens. Study common damage mechanisms from API 571: uniform and localized corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, fatigue, and high-temperature damage. Apply API 579 fitness-for-service thinking to decide run, repair, or replace. Practice: classify damage mechanisms from inspection reports.

Teams that Benefit from this Asset Integrity and Inspection Management Group Training
Built for asset and integrity engineers, inspection engineers, and reliability professionals who own plant integrity. No RBI or NDE certification is required up front; content adapts to each cohort, so junior engineers and seasoned inspectors build the skills their roles demand.
Own the integrity of every asset you are responsible for.
Asset and integrity engineers master RBI planning, damage mechanisms, and inspection data management, so integrity programs hold up under audit and in the field.
Workflow friction
- Inspections run on fixed calendars, not risk
- Damage mechanisms get missed until failure
- Inspection data is scattered and hard to trust
How the program helps
- Plan inspections by risk, not calendar
- Catch damage mechanisms early
- Report integrity with clean data
Practice use cases
- RBI planning
- Inspection registers
- Audit readiness
Turn inspections into decisions that prevent failure.
Inspection and reliability engineers sharpen NDE selection, fitness-for-service judgment, and findings follow-up, so every inspection drives maintenance action.
Workflow friction
- Wrong NDE method for the damage mechanism
- Findings sit open without owners or dates
- Turnaround inspections run late and over budget
How the program helps
- Match NDE to damage mechanisms
- Close findings with clear owners
- Deliver turnaround inspections on plan
Practice use cases
- NDE selection
- Turnaround planning
- Findings tracking
Keep production running inside safe limits.
Plant and operations leaders learn integrity operating windows, integrity KPIs, and contractor oversight, so production targets never outrun asset safety.
Workflow friction
- Production pressure pushes past safe limits
- Integrity KPIs are unclear or lagging
- Contractor inspection quality varies
How the program helps
- Hold integrity operating windows
- Track integrity KPIs with confidence
- Oversee inspection work quality
Practice use cases
- IOW management
- Integrity KPIs
- Contractor oversight
Each cohort works through role-relevant inspection labs, then leaves with a risk-based inspection plan shaped for their assets.
Prerequisites: This program is built for asset, integrity, inspection, and reliability engineers: a mechanical or plant engineering background helps but is not required. What helps most is responsibility for equipment integrity, inspection, or reliability. No RBI or NDE certification is needed up front; content adapts to each cohort's experience and industry.
Integrity Engineer to Asset Integrity Manager
The program takes engineers from integrity foundations to program ownership: foundation concepts and NDE basics, intermediate RBI planning and damage-mechanism work, then advanced fitness-for-service judgment and an inspection-plan capstone.
One program that grows with asset and integrity engineering careers, from foundation inspections to program ownership.
Mixed cohort, or several teams at once?
We can tailor the training to different teams, roles, and experience levels within the same program.
Certificate of Training Completion.
On successful completion, employees receive an Edstellar course completion certificate, recognizing their commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. It validates the skills they have built and motivates them to keep growing and contribute to organizational success.

Develop Risk-Based Inspection Plans Grounded in Asset Integrity Evidence
Our asset integrity training connects equipment risk with inspection choices and follow-up actions. Participants compare NDE methods, interpret damage mechanisms, and develop inspection plans using representative plant scenarios. The capstone combines operating windows, records, and execution planning, emphasizing justified engineering reasoning rather than substituting training exercises for authorized asset decisions.
- Step 01
Consult
We review your equipment types and integrity responsibilities to identify learning needs in risk-based inspection, damage mechanisms, inspection methods, and findings management.
- Step 02
Plan
We establish the integrity framework before risk ranking, NDE selection, damage assessment, operating windows, and execution planning in the asset-train capstone.
- Step 03
Align
We align asset, inspection, and reliability engineering perspectives, adjusting foundational support while distinguishing course exercises from formal inspection qualifications or operational authorization.
- Step 04
Customize
We tailor pressure-vessel and asset-train cases to representative deterioration and consequence scenarios, using sample inspection reports to support reasoned method and interval choices.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants classify damage, select inspection techniques, draft operating-window limits, and plan turnaround work with feedback on assumptions, evidence, and engineering justification.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the integrity plan for coherent risk ranking, appropriate NDE selection, traceable damage assumptions, usable findings records, and clear inspection execution responsibilities.
