Program Overview: What is Supplier and Vendor Management?
Supplier & Vendor Management is a 24-hour instructor-led program for procurement professionals, contract managers, and category leads managing third-party spend. It covers supplier management foundations, contract and SLA design, vendor performance measurement, and negotiation and cost optimization. Participants also learn to integrate risk management into everyday supplier relationships.
The course runs as six sessions that alternate instructor briefings with working labs on real supplier scenarios. Participants draft contracts and SLAs, build vendor scorecards, and run negotiation simulations with coaching at every round. Performance labs have teams scoring realistic supplier data and defending their ratings in review-style exercises. The final session is the capstone: each team assembles a complete Vendor Playbook for a category of spend and presents it for challenge.
Too many supplier relationships drift on autopilot: contracts go stale, performance goes unmeasured, and costs creep up unchallenged. The program teaches procurement teams to set commercial terms deliberately, measure what matters, and negotiate from evidence rather than habit. They return managing suppliers actively: contracts tight, performance visible, savings pursued as routine.
The capstone is a complete Vendor Playbook for a real spend category: contract templates with SLA clauses, a vendor scorecard, negotiation playbooks for renewal and escalation, and a risk integration checklist. Teams present it to a panel and answer the questions their own finance and legal colleagues would ask, so the playbook arrives at work already pressure-tested.
Twenty-four hours and six modules: supplier foundations, contracts and SLA design, performance labs, negotiation and cost optimization, risk integration, and a capstone vendor playbook. Every technique is practiced in guided labs on your real categories, and the final playbook is reviewed by a panel.
