Program Overview: What is Kaizen?
Kaizen is Edstellar's instructor-led program for operations, manufacturing, and service teams that want continuous improvement as a working habit. Participants learn kaizen principles and PDCA, value stream mapping, waste identification, gemba walks, visual management, A3 problem solving, and standard work. The program fits teams that need improvement driven from the floor, not imposed from above.
Training is built around doing: short instruction followed by practice on real processes. Participants map a value stream, run a gemba walk, draft an A3 on a live problem, and design visual boards and standard work in guided exercises. Instructors coach your team through the discipline of small, verified improvements, reviewing each exercise with direct feedback. The program closes with a capstone improvement project on one of your real processes.
Most improvement efforts stall: big projects that fade, suggestions that go nowhere, and processes that drift back to old habits. This program teaches your teams the kaizen discipline of small changes, verified with data and sustained through daily management. Teams leave with a method that compounds instead of collapsing.
The capstone is a completed improvement on your own process: a value stream map, an A3 with root cause and countermeasures, and standard work that locks in the gain. Your team returns with proof that the method works on their floor.
Six modules and 24 hours: kaizen foundations, value stream mapping, gemba and 5S, kaizen events and A3, standard work, and a capstone project. Every module pairs concepts with hands-on labs, so each technique is practiced before it is expected. Delivery is hybrid across virtual and onsite sessions, scheduled around your shifts.
