Program Overview: What is 5S Corporate Training?
5S Corporate Training is Edstellar's instructor-led operational excellence program for teams that want organized, efficient, and safe work areas. Participants learn the five 5S disciplines, Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, plus waste identification and visual management. The focus stays on day-to-day work: building habits that stick where performance matters.
Training is practical from the first module. Participants work through 5S foundations and the eight wastes, then practice red-tagging, layout design, and visual management in guided workplace exercises. Instructors coach your team through shine inspections, audit scorecards, and gemba routines on your own work areas, reviewing every exercise with direct feedback. The program closes with a capstone where each team delivers a 5S pilot transformation with a sustain plan and audit cadence.
Workplaces drift into clutter, wasted motion, and hidden problems when 5S is treated as a one-time cleanup. This program teaches your people to see waste, standardize the right way of working, and sustain gains through audits and visual controls. Every technique is practiced on real work areas, so the discipline transfers directly to daily operations.
Each participant runs a 5S pilot transformation on a real work area during the program. They go back with before-and-after evidence and the facilitation experience to roll it out across the floor.
Six modules and 24 hours: 5S foundations, red-tagging, layout design and visual management, shine inspection, standardization and sustain systems, and a capstone pilot transformation. Guided labs in every module, audit scorecards and templates included, and a sustain plan with audit cadence so gains hold after training.

Key Skills and Outcomes Your Team Will Gain
Teams finish the program able to run 5S end to end on their own work areas, from the first red-tag blitz to audits that sustain the gains.

Spot overproduction, waiting, transport, inventory, motion, defects, over-processing, and unused talent in real work areas.
Run Red-Tag Exercises
Plan and execute Sort with red-tag criteria, a holding area, and disposition rules that clear clutter fast.
Design Set-in-Order Layouts
Build flow-based layouts with zones, point-of-use storage, and ergonomic reach that cut search and motion time.
Apply Visual Management
Install shadow boards, floor marking, label standards, color codes, and visual signals that make standards obvious.
Inspect Through Shine
Use cleaning as inspection with checklists, responsibility maps, and abnormality tags that surface defects early.
Standardize with One-Point Lessons
Lock in gains with visual SOPs, micro standards, and posted one-point lessons teams actually follow.
Sustain 5S with Audits and Gemba
Run 5S audits, scorecard reviews, and gemba walks on a cadence that keeps improvements from sliding back.
Teams that Benefit from this 5S Group Training
This group training is built for operations teams who want order, visual control, and fewer surprises on the floor. Cohorts practice on their own work areas, and the content adapts to each team's roles and experience so everyone practices the workflows they own.

Prerequisites: No prior lean or 5S experience is needed; the program starts from foundations and works up to a full pilot transformation. Teams benefit most when attendees work in or support operations, maintenance, warehouse, or quality functions. Familiarity with your own work area helps, and every exercise adapts to your team's tools and context.

Turn 5S Principles Into Observable Workplace Organization and Follow-Through
Edstellar helps operational teams practice workplace organization as a repeatable discipline. Participants learn to identify waste, apply red-tag decisions, improve storage and layout, and use cleaning to reveal abnormalities. A pilot-area exercise connects these activities with visual standards, an audit schedule, and evidence of the changes made.
- Step 01
Consult
We examine work-area challenges, waste patterns, and current housekeeping routines to identify where sorting, point-of-use storage, or visual standards need improvement.
- Step 02
Plan
We build from 5S and waste awareness through Sort, Set in order, and Shine before developing standards, audit routines, and a pilot-area improvement plan.
- Step 03
Align
We align facilitation with shop-floor or office workflows, participant responsibilities, and available pilot areas so layout and observation exercises reflect the work being organized.
- Step 04
Customize
We adapt red-tag cases, storage layouts, and inspection checklists to familiar materials and work zones while preserving practical decisions about use frequency and abnormalities.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants sort materials, redesign storage, inspect work areas, and draft visual standards, receiving feedback on accessibility, flow, clarity, and the practicality of proposed routines.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We review baseline and follow-up observations from the pilot area, along with visual standards and the audit schedule, to assess coherent application of 5S.
