Program Overview: What is Intercultural Communication?
Intercultural Communication is a 16-hour instructor-led program for global teams, managers, and anyone whose work crosses borders. It covers cultural dimensions and communication styles, language, etiquette and nonverbal cues, adapting messages for global audiences, navigating misunderstandings and cultural friction, and meetings and feedback across borders. Participants build a cross-cultural playbook.
Training runs as 16 hours of instructor-led sessions built around realistic cross-cultural scenarios. Participants decode nonverbal cues, rework messages for different cultural audiences, role-play difficult conversations across borders, and practice giving feedback that lands well everywhere. Instructors with global experience observe each participant and coach them on blind spots, assumptions, and adaptation. The program closes with a capstone showcase where each person presents a personal cross-cultural playbook.
A message that motivates in one culture can offend in another, and most misunderstandings are never about intent. Teams lose deals and trust over signals they never noticed. This program trains people to read the room across cultures and adapt in real time before small frictions become lasting damage.
The capstone showcase asks each participant to present a personal cross-cultural playbook: their own communication style mapped against the cultures they work with, the adaptations they will make, and the phrases and habits they are retiring. Instructors and peers challenge each playbook with scenarios from their own regions. People leave with a practical reference they wrote themselves, which means they will actually use it when the next tricky conversation arrives.
The program blends short concept sessions with intensive practice: mapping cultural styles, rehearsing adapted conversations in role plays, recovering from misunderstandings, and running inclusive meetings across time zones. Teams leave with a personal cross-cultural playbook they can apply the next working day.
