Program Overview: What is Cultural Sensitivity?
Cultural Sensitivity is a 13-hour instructor-led program for teams and managers who work across cultures every day. Across five modules, participants work through cultural awareness foundations, recognizing unconscious bias and assumptions in the workplace, inclusive communication across differences, and navigating cross-cultural tension through conflict and collaboration. It closes with a capstone where each participant builds a personal culturally responsive action plan.
Training is built around practice, not lectures: five practice sessions alternate with instructor briefings, so participants rehearse inclusive communication, give and receive fair feedback across differences, and work through realistic cross-cultural tensions in facilitated role plays. Each exercise mirrors situations the team actually faces, with the instructor coaching respectful language, active listening, and the small behaviors that make diverse teams function. Peer feedback sharpens every interaction. The program culminates in a three-hour capstone where participants present a personal action plan they can use immediately.
Teams that never examine culture pay in quiet ways: misunderstandings treated as attitude problems, talented people going unheard, feedback that lands as judgment, and conflicts that simmer because nobody knows how to name them. Diversity without cultural skill is just friction. This program builds the everyday habits that change that: noticing assumptions, listening across differences, communicating with respect, and turning tension into collaboration instead of avoidance.
The personal action plan is what makes the learning stick: each participant leaves with a documented plan covering their own cultural blind spots, communication commitments, and specific habits to practice with their real colleagues, reviewed by the instructor. It is not a generic pledge; it is built from the situations they rehearsed and the feedback they received. Cultural sensitivity stops being a one-off training topic and becomes part of how the team operates, practiced daily in language, listening, and feedback.
Across five modules, teams move from cultural awareness to a personal action plan they can use immediately. The emphasis is on everyday habits (respectful language, active listening, fair feedback) that make diverse teams work better together, so cultural sensitivity becomes part of how the team operates, not a one-off lecture.
