Program Overview: What is Architecting on AWS?
The Architecting on AWS training is a 25-hour instructor-led program for cloud engineers, solution architects, and IT staff who design cloud workloads. It covers AWS foundations, VPC and network design, storage and database selection, resilient architectures, security and governance, and cost optimization. Learners apply every pattern in guided labs using real AWS services and architectures.
Training runs across six modules pairing Well-Architected instruction with hands-on labs in live AWS environments. Learners build VPCs, select storage and databases for workload profiles, design multi-AZ architectures with auto scaling and disaster recovery, and apply IAM, encryption, and logging. Instructors review each architecture and coach improvements before the next module. The program closes with a six-hour capstone: design a full multi-tier architecture, then present and defend it.
Many teams lift and shift into AWS and inherit single-AZ fragility, runaway costs, and inconsistent security. Unreviewed architectures fail under load and audits alike. This program trains engineers to architect the AWS way: resilient multi-AZ design, right-sized resources, least-privilege security, and cost modeling from day one.
They defend an architecture on cost as well as design, right-sizing, savings plans, the lot. Cloud bills get a second pair of eyes that knows what to look for.
Well-designed architectures reduce downtime, control cloud spend, and speed up delivery. Participants practice the trade-offs behind every decision: availability versus cost, agility versus control, and speed versus security, so their designs hold up under production pressure. Teams leave with reusable architecture patterns, a cost-modeling approach, and a security baseline they can apply to the next workload they ship.

Where this Training Fits in Your Team's learning path.
Architecture is the step where AWS knowledge turns into designs your business can run on. Your team learns the services first, then designs well-architected workloads here. Network design follows, because VPCs and connectivity shape every system, and multi-cloud landing zones come last as your estate grows beyond one provider.
