Program Overview: What is Autodesk BIM?
Autodesk BIM is Edstellar's instructor-led technical program for architects, engineers, and construction teams who deliver coordinated building projects. Participants master BIM foundations and project setup, architectural modeling and documentation, parametric families, and model data. The program covers multi-discipline coordination, clash detection, quantity takeoff, phasing, and visualization for reliable project delivery.
Training is hands-on from the first module. Participants model buildings in guided labs: architectural elements, parametric families loaded with real data, then coordination workflows running clash detection across disciplines. Instructors coach multi-discipline scenarios, architecture, structure, and MEP in one federated model, with direct feedback on every exercise. The program closes with a capstone where the team delivers a coordinated BIM project: modeled, clash-resolved, and fully documented.
Clashes get found too late: on site instead of in the model, with takeoffs nobody trusts at bid time. This program teaches coordination discipline, clash-free federated models, parametric data the whole team uses, and quantity takeoffs you can defend. Everything is practiced on realistic multi-discipline buildings, so problems surface in the model, not in the field.
The capstone delivers one coordinated project, architecture, structure, and MEP modeled together, clashes detected and resolved, quantities extracted, all documented as a single delivery. Your team goes back finding collisions in the model instead of on site, with takeoffs solid enough to stand behind in a bid review.
Teams learn to set up coordinated project environments, author parametric content, run clash detection, extract quantities, and deliver reviewed documentation sets. Every module combines live instruction with hands-on practice so skills transfer directly to your projects.

Where this Training Fits in Your Team's learning path.
This course introduces BIM before your team commits to specific tools. It covers how models, data and collaboration replace drawings. The path then moves into modelling in Revit, coordinating models in Navisworks, and governing information under ISO 19650.
