Program Overview: What is PTC Creo?
PTC Creo is a 24-hour instructor-led program for design engineers. It builds PTC Creo capability across the core toolset: parametric sketching and part modeling, advanced features, assemblies, sheet metal and surfacing, and drawing generation. The program prepares teams for a Creo migration or seat expansion with practical, lab-driven skill.
Teams learn by doing. Each module pairs instructor-led sessions with guided hands-on labs: modeling parts, building assemblies, and producing drawings from real design scenarios. Content adapts to your products and engineering workflows, so every cohort practices on parts like its own. Instructors review each lab and the product-model capstone, and teams leave with techniques they can use immediately.
The payoff is faster, cleaner design work. Participants return able to build robust parametric models, manage assemblies, and document designs for manufacturing. Stronger Creo skill means shorter design cycles and fewer modeling errors downstream.
By the final session, each cohort has modeled a full product assembly with drawings, checked by the instructor. That capstone build, plus the modeling templates from the labs, gives every team a repeatable Creo standard.

Key Skills and Outcomes Your Team Will Gain
By the end of the program, your teams will design in Creo like practitioners: modeling parametrically, assembling cleanly, and documenting for manufacturing.
Model parametrically
Build parts with design intent, constraints, and relations that survive late changes.
Use advanced features
Apply patterns, drafts, and complex features to real product geometry.
Build working assemblies
Constrain assemblies, run motion checks, and manage large product structures.
Model sheet metal and surfaces
Design sheet metal parts and industrial surfaces with the right tools.
Generate production drawings
Produce drawing packs with dimensions, tolerances, and BOMs the shop can build from.
Troubleshoot models
Diagnose and repair failed features and broken references fast.
Standardize Creo practice
Work to shared templates and modeling standards across the team.
Teams that Benefit from this PTC Creo Group Training
This program is built for the people who own product design: design engineers and the engineering teams around them. Content adapts to role and Creo experience so each cohort practices on parts like its own.

Each cohort works through parts from its own product lines, then leaves with modeling templates and a team standard.
Prerequisites: This program suits design engineers and engineering teams adopting or expanding PTC Creo. Basic CAD familiarity helps but is not required; parametric foundations are built from module one. Content adapts to each cohort's products, so teams practice on parts they recognize.
Creo User to Design Lead
The progression moves from sketching and part features through assemblies and specialist toolsets to drawings and a full product build.
One program that grows with design careers, from parametric basics to confident product modeling.
Mixed cohort, or several teams at once?
We can tailor the training to different teams, roles, and experience levels within the same program.
Certificate of Training Completion.
On successful completion, employees receive an Edstellar course completion certificate, recognizing their commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. It validates the skills they have built and motivates them to keep growing and contribute to organizational success.

Where this Training Fits in Your Team's learning path.
This path starts in PTC Creo, where your team builds the models that later steps depend on. It then applies GD&T to those designs, simulates performance in ANSYS, and finally manages product data and change in PTC Windchill.

Build PTC Creo Models With Clear Design Intent and Coherent Documentation
Edstellar develops Creo capability through a connected sequence of parts, assemblies, and drawings. Participants establish parametric intent, explore advanced features, and check mechanism behavior before practicing sheet metal and surfacing. A complete product model is reviewed alongside its drawing pack for robust structure, consistent relationships, and clear communication of the design.
- Step 01
Consult
We review CAD familiarity, engineering responsibilities, and recurring modeling difficulties to identify gaps in parametric intent, assembly behavior, sheet metal, or drawing preparation.
- Step 02
Plan
We establish constrained sketches and part models before advanced features, assemblies and mechanisms, then sheet metal, surfacing, and drawing generation for the product build.
- Step 03
Align
We align Creo modeling expertise with the cohort's design experience, confirming suitable training access and recognizable part examples for both new and migrating users.
- Step 04
Customize
We adapt sample housings, machined parts, and enclosures to familiar products, retaining opportunities to test feature relationships, mechanism motion, and sheet-metal flattening.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants build parametric parts, assemble mechanisms, and create drawing packs, receiving feedback on design intent, feature choices, motion checks, and consistency across model documentation.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the completed product model and drawings for coherent parametric structure, functioning assembly relationships, appropriate feature use, and documentation that accurately represents the design.
