Program Overview: What is SolidWorks?
SolidWorks is a 20-hour program for design engineers and drafters who need 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings on one platform. Across five modules it covers sketching and part modeling, assemblies, drawings and detailing, sheet metal and weldments, and design data practices. It suits teams onboarding to SolidWorks or expanding seats across design groups.
Training is hands-on: every concept is taught through guided labs in live SolidWorks, modeling parts, building assemblies, and detailing drawings. Participants apply parametric techniques, manage mates and configurations, and produce shop-ready drawings with instructor coaching. The instructor reviews each model and corrects weak habits before production. A three-and-a-half-hour capstone closes the program, where participants build a complete assembly with drawings end to end.
Teams struggle with sloppy feature trees, broken assembly mates, and drawings that do not match the model. This program builds modeling discipline: clean parametric parts, stable assemblies, and drawings driven by the model. Designers learn shared standards, so every part follows the same logic.
The capstone is a complete assembly build: modeled parts, managed assembly, and detailed drawings, defended before instructors. Your team keeps the models and the SolidWorks workflows.

Cohorts train as a cross-functional design workforce, with each small group aligned on shared SolidWorks standards.
Prerequisites: This program benefits design engineers and drafters adopting or expanding SolidWorks. Basic engineering drawing familiarity helps but is not required, and no prior SolidWorks experience is needed. Content adapts to each cohort's templates, standards, and experience level.
Drafter to SolidWorks Design Engineer
Tracks how designers progress from basic SolidWorks sketching to advanced assembly and fabrication modeling across the program's learn, practice, and apply phases.
A program that grows with design careers, from first SolidWorks sketch to confident assembly ownership.
Mixed cohort, or several teams at once?
We can tailor the training to different teams, roles, and experience levels within the same program.
