Program Overview: What is Inclusive Workplace and Respect at Work?
Inclusive Workplace & Respect at Work is a practical training program for employees and teams at every level. The program covers foundations of workplace inclusion, bias awareness and conduct standards, inclusive communication, upstander skills for disrespect, and coaching conversations for belonging. Participants work across six modules over 16 hours.
Sessions are interactive, with role plays and group exercises at the centre. Participants practise inclusive communication, rehearse upstander responses to disrespect, and hold coaching conversations for belonging. Facilitators guide honest discussion, debrief each exercise, and give feedback on real workplace behaviours. The program ends with a capstone where each team builds its own inclusion action plan.
Disrespect at work rarely looks dramatic: it is the interrupted colleague, the joke nobody challenges, the credit that goes elsewhere. Left alone, it poisons trust and drives people out. This program gives every employee the skills to notice, speak up, and build a workplace where respect is the norm.
The capstone has each team draft its own inclusion action plan: the behaviours they will champion, the upstander commitments they will keep, and the conversations they will start back at work. Teams leave with a plan signed by everyone in the room, which is exactly what makes it stick.
Respectful teams are built one conversation at a time. Your team starts with the science of inclusion: how bias shows up in everyday work, and how small habits of language and attention shape who feels they belong. Then they practice: role plays rehearse inclusive meetings, respectful feedback, and safe responses to disrespect, with instructor coaching after every round. The capstone brings it together: each team presents an inclusion action plan for its workplace, reviewed against a rubric.

Where this Training Fits in Your Team's learning path.
A respectful, inclusive workplace comes after your team learns to spot its own unconscious bias, because respect starts with noticing how people are judged. With shared standards in place, the path moves into preventing harassment and discrimination formally, then into leaders who keep the culture inclusive.
