Program Overview: What is Business Process Automation (BPMN)?
Business Process Automation (BPMN) is Edstellar's instructor-led technical program for analysts and process professionals automating real workflows. Participants achieve BPMN notation literacy, then apply it to living processes. The program covers process discovery and as-is mapping, to-be flow design, data and decision modeling, integration patterns, waste analysis, metrics, and simulation.
Labs are built around real process material. Participants map as-is processes, redesign them as to-be BPMN flows, and model decisions and data in guided exercises. Instructors review diagrams for notation correctness and automation readiness. Simulation modules let teams test improvements before proposing them. The program ends with an end-to-end automation pilot on a genuine candidate process.
Automation fails on bad process understanding: bots pasted onto broken workflows, or diagrams so abstract nobody can build from them. This program teaches your people to discover how work really happens, model it precisely in BPMN, and design automation that survives contact with reality. Pilots stop stalling and start scaling.
The capstone is a working automation pilot, a real process mapped, redesigned in BPMN, and built out far enough to prove the business case. Participants return with a pilot they can show stakeholders and a method to repeat it.
The program blends notation mastery with hands-on practice. Teams model real processes from their own work, stress-test designs for errors and edge cases, and build a pilot automation roadmap with metrics. By the end, your teams share one modeling language and a repeatable way to turn messy workflows into efficient, automated processes.

Remove friction from daily operations
Operations teams use BPMN to make handoffs visible, cut delays, and standardize how work flows across shifts and sites.
Workflow friction
- Tribal knowledge undocumented
- Bottlenecks hidden between teams
- Inconsistent execution standards
How the program helps

- Fewer handoffs and rework loops
- Standard models across teams
Practice use cases
- order-to-cash mapping

Cohorts train as cross-functional groups, with labs run on processes the teams actually own for immediate, relevant practice.
Prerequisites: Most valuable for teams that own or improve business processes, including operations, quality, and transformation groups. Basic familiarity with how work flows through your team helps but is not required. No prior modeling or automation experience is needed, and labs adapt to each cohort's tools and processes.
Process analyst to automation lead
Start by reading models, grow into redesigning flows, and finish leading scoped automation pilots with measured outcomes.
A program that grows with process careers, from first models to leading automation pilots.
Mixed cohort, or several teams at once?
We can tailor the training to different teams, roles, and experience levels within the same program.
Certificate of Training Completion.
On successful completion, employees receive an Edstellar course completion certificate, recognizing their commitment to ongoing learning and professional development. It validates the skills they have built and motivates them to keep growing and contribute to organizational success.

Where this Training Fits in Your Team's learning path.
Business process automation sits between understanding a process and building bots for it. Your team maps the work, decides which steps to automate and how, then builds those automations in UiPath and extends them with AI agents once the basics are running.
Why Choose Edstellar as Your Business Process Automation (BPMN) Corporate Training Provider

Design Automation Pilots from Validated Process Models and Simulation Evidence
Our business process automation training connects process discovery with the logic needed for a workable automated flow. Participants model current work, design a future process, and add data and exception paths before testing assumptions in simulation. The pilot plan distinguishes estimated improvements from proven results and identifies the evidence needed for implementation decisions.
- Step 01
Consult
We discuss the workflows your team owns, identifying learning needs in process discovery, BPMN notation, decision logic, integration boundaries, and pilot scoping.
- Step 02
Plan
We establish notation literacy before current-state discovery, future-state design, data and integration modeling, then simulation and the end-to-end automation pilot plan.
- Step 03
Align
We align operations, quality, and transformation perspectives, introducing modeling from foundations and confirming the tools available for process validation and simulation exercises.
- Step 04
Customize
We tailor a process brief, exception cases, and workload assumptions to relevant operations, making system tasks and human decisions distinct in the proposed design.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants correct BPMN models, validate owner feedback, add error paths, and simulate alternatives with guided review of assumptions, metrics, and integration dependencies.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the pilot plan for valid process logic, complete decision and exception paths, transparent simulation assumptions, and a feasible scope with measurable acceptance criteria.
