Program Overview: What is Appian Low-Code Process Automation?
Appian Low-Code Process Automation is a 20-hour instructor-led program for process owners, analysts, and developers who automate workflows on the Appian low-code platform. Across 6 modules, participants cover low-code automation foundations, process modeling, building apps on process models, data and rules and integrations, and monitoring and process improvement. The program closes with a capstone build of an automated end-to-end process.
Learning is hands-on: each module pairs focused instruction with practice sessions in Appian environments, where participants model processes, design forms, connect data and rules, and monitor flows. Instructors coach participants through builds, review designs, and give feedback on production-ready practices. The final 3.5 hours are a capstone in which teams build an automated end-to-end process covering modeling, apps, integrations, and monitoring. Teams demonstrate their automated processes and explain their design decisions.
Teams that automate processes without platform discipline end up with brittle flows, exception handling gaps, and automations nobody trusts. Workarounds pile up and improvement stalls when processes go unmonitored. This program teaches participants to automate the platform way, with clean process models, connected data and rules, and monitoring that keeps automations healthy after launch.
The capstone uses a real workflow from the participant's own team, so they return with that process already automated. ROI is not theoretical; it is sitting in production.
Manual processes stall work: approvals wait in inboxes, data gets retyped across systems, and exceptions land on the busiest people. This program gives your team a repeatable method to model, build, and launch low-code automations, so work moves without the handoffs that slow it down.
Participants leave with reusable process models and an automation playbook. Every cohort practices on its own business processes, so the first real deployment starts the week training ends.

Appian Low-Code Process Automation Course Topics and Program Outline
A six-module technical program on process modeling, low-code app building, data and rules, system integrations, and process monitoring, with hands-on labs and a capstone automated process.
Built by Edstellar with low-code automation experts
Built by enterprise automation practitioners who build and launch low-code process apps for global teams, shaped around your stack and use cases.
Baseline each participant's low-code automation readiness before module 01 begins
Build strong Appian low-code foundations in instructor-led sessions for your team
Reinforce skills through guided hands-on labs on real Appian process builds
Apply low-code automation skills to real scenarios and a capstone Appian project
A short pre-training assessment sets each participant's entry level, so the program starts where your team actually is. The rest is weighted toward hands-on practice: guided Appian labs and realistic process scenarios drawn from your team's work, not slides.

Teams that Benefit from this Appian Low-Code Process Automation Group Training
This program trains the teams who own and build process automation: process owners, analysts, IT, and operations staff. It suits teams drowning in manual handoffs, and content adapts to role and experience, so cohorts practice on the workflows they own.
Automations that ship, not backlog.
Process teams learn a standard modeling method and launch working automations fast. They leave able to turn any manual workflow into a live digital process.
Workflow friction
- Manual approvals pile up daily
- Processes live in inboxes and spreadsheets
- No standard way to model work
How the program helps
- Model any workflow quickly
- Launch apps from those models
- Apply one modeling standard
Practice use cases
- Intake app builds
- Approval workflows
- Exception handling
Own the automation pipeline end to end.
IT teams connect processes to systems of record, add rules and integrations, and keep automations monitored. They leave able to support automation as a managed platform.
Workflow friction
- Shadow automations nobody governs
- Integration requests queue for months
- Fragile scripts break silently
How the program helps
- Integrate systems with standard flows
- Govern automation centrally
- Monitor and fix exceptions fast
Practice use cases
- System integrations
- Rule configuration
- Process monitoring
Requirements that become working apps.
Analysts turn discovered requirements into process models and working prototypes. They leave able to show stakeholders a real flow instead of a slide deck.
Workflow friction
- Specs stall before development
- Stakeholders sign off too late
- Rework after build is costly
How the program helps
- Model requirements as flows
- Prototype apps in workshops
- Get sign-off on live builds
Practice use cases
- Requirement modeling
- Live prototypes
- Stakeholder walkthroughs
Fewer handoffs, faster throughput.
Operations teams automate the repetitive steps that slow their day: routing, checks, and data entry. They leave able to run and maintain the automations they use daily.
Workflow friction
- Data retyped across systems
- Exceptions land on busy staff
- Backlogs grow in peak periods
How the program helps
- Automate routing and data entry
- Clear exceptions in one view
- Scale capacity without hiring
Practice use cases
- Routing automation
- Data entry removal
- Exception triage
Each cohort works through role-relevant scenarios, then leaves with reusable patterns for day-to-day work.
Prerequisites: This program benefits process owners, business analysts, and developers automating workflows on Appian. Familiarity with basic process concepts and business workflows helps participants get more from the modeling sessions. Appian experience is not required, and instructors adapt exercises to each cohort's background.
From manual processes to governed Appian automation
Learners begin with low-code automation foundations and process modeling, then practice building apps on process models with data, rules, and integrations. Monitoring, exception handling, and process improvement lead into a capstone automated process build.
Teams progress from low-code basics to designing, building, and monitoring production process apps.
