Program Overview: What is Creative Problem Solving?
Creative Problem Solving is a 16-hour instructor-led program that teaches teams how to turn fuzzy, stuck problems into tested solutions instead of recycled opinions. Across six modules, participants work through creative thinking foundations, problem discovery and insight gathering, ideation techniques and facilitation, idea evaluation and selection, and solution prototyping and rapid testing. It closes with a Creative Solution Showcase where each team presents a real solution they built during the program.
Training is built around practice, not lectures: six practice sessions alternate with short instructor briefings, so every technique is tried on live team problems the same day it is taught. Participants reframe real business challenges, run SCAMPER ideation rounds, facilitate brainstorming groups, score ideas with effort-impact mapping, and build rapid prototypes with coaching and peer feedback after each round. Exercises are run as facilitated group sessions that mirror how cross-functional teams actually solve problems at work. The program culminates in the three-hour Creative Solution Showcase capstone, where teams pitch their prototyped solutions for structured instructor critique.
Teams that never learn creativity as a method default to the loudest voice in the room, recycled fixes, and ideas that die in a slide deck. Meetings circle the same problems for months while the underlying issue goes unnamed and untested. This program replaces opinion-driven debate with a repeatable toolkit: disciplined problem discovery, structured ideation, honest evaluation, and rapid prototyping that proves an idea before it gets funded.
The showcase capstone is what teams carry forward: a prototyped, tested solution to one of their own real problems, presented and critiqued the way a leadership review would. More valuable still is the toolkit behind it: reframing worksheets, SCAMPER prompts, facilitation guides, and effort-impact templates the team keeps using after the program ends. Creative problem solving stops being a one-off workshop event and becomes the way the team works through the next hard problem on its own.
Across six modules, teams move from creative thinking foundations to a full solution pitch. The emphasis is on repeatable techniques (reframing, SCAMPER, effort-impact mapping, rapid prototyping) that keep working long after the program ends, so creative problem solving becomes a team habit rather than a one-off workshop.
