Program Overview: What is Phased Array Antenna?
Phased Array Antenna is Edstellar's instructor-led program for RF and antenna engineers working with phased array technology. Participants cover antenna foundations and array theory, element design and feed networks, beamforming and beam steering, calibration and array testing, and system integration. The focus stays on antennas that perform as designed.
Across 24 hours, participants design array elements, model feed networks, and compute beamforming solutions in guided labs with instructor review. Calibration and testing modules work through measurement scenarios, and beam steering exercises use realistic steering requirements. Applications and integration are examined through case studies, and the program closes with a phased array design and test exercise.
Antenna projects stall when design and test live apart: arrays that simulate well but measure poorly, calibration treated as an afterthought. This program teaches engineers to design with test in mind, from element layout to calibration strategy, so measured performance matches the model.
The closing exercise is a full design and test cycle: the team designs an array, computes its beamforming, plans the calibration approach, and works through test results with the instructor. Closing that loop in the lab is what prepares them to close it on the range.
Six modules and 24 hours: antenna foundations, element and feed design, beamforming and steering, calibration and testing, system integration, and a capstone array design build. Every module pairs concepts with a guided lab, so your team practices on realistic array scenarios. Materials include lab guides, calculation worksheets, and design checklists.
