Program Overview: What is Radar and RF Systems Engineering Corporate Training?
Radar & RF Systems Engineering is an instructor-led program for engineering teams that design, build, and test radio frequency systems and radar. Participants master RF fundamentals, antenna theory and design, front-end circuits, radar principles and the range equation, signal processing, and link performance. Hands-on labs turn the theory into working capability from the first module.
After a training needs analysis maps the curriculum to the team's RF skill gaps, eight modules and 26 hours of live sessions follow. Trainers lead sessions built around the team's industry systems, with guided labs, simulations, and troubleshooting exercises. Pre- and post-assessments plus Edstellar's Skills Matrix track progress at individual and team level. The program closes with a radar system design capstone where the team specifies, budgets, and validates a complete design.
Radar and RF expertise is scarce and hard to hire, and teams without it make expensive guesses: overspecified antennas, failing link margins, and signal processing that dies on hardware. This program builds the expertise inside the team, from electromagnetic basics to validated designs, so programs stop depending on a single specialist.
The capstone is a Radar System Design Capstone. Each team specifies antennas, budgets link margins, designs the signal processing chain, and validates the design with test equipment and measurements. Trainers challenge the design decisions the way a design review board would, probing every assumption about range, resolution, and interference. Your engineers return able to defend a radar design on its merits, and the team's next RF program starts with in-house expertise instead of a recruiting search.
Radar and RF expertise is scarce and hard to hire for. This program builds it inside your team, covering the full chain from electromagnetic basics to radar system design. Your engineers learn to specify antennas, budget link margins, process radar returns, and validate designs with test equipment.
The result: engineers who design RF systems with confidence, diagnose field issues faster, and deliver the radar capability your programs rely on.

Radar and RF Systems Engineering Course Topics and Program Outline
Eight modules move from RF fundamentals to a radar system design capstone. Sessions are customized to your industry and systems, and every lab turns theory into working engineering capability.
Built by Edstellar with radar and RF engineers
Built by practitioners with hands-on radar and RF systems experience across defense and industry programs.
Baseline each participant's radar and RF systems readiness before module 01 begins
Build strong radar and RF engineering foundations in instructor-led sessions for your team
Reinforce skills through guided hands-on labs on radar waveforms and RF measurement rigs
Apply radar and RF skills to real-world scenarios and a capstone link-budget project
A short pre-training assessment sets each participant's entry level, so the program starts where your team actually is. The rest is weighted toward hands-on practice: radar waveform labs, RF link budgets, and realistic scenarios drawn from your team's work, not slides.

Teams that Benefit from this Radar and RF Systems Engineering Group Training
This program is built for engineering teams that design, build, or test RF and radar systems. Content adapts to each cohort's baseline, from RF newcomers in adjacent roles to experienced engineers going deeper, so every participant practices the tasks their role actually owns.
Design RF hardware with confidence.
Hardware engineers deepen RF circuit skills: impedance matching, front-end design, and measurement with real test equipment, so designs work on the first prototype.
Workflow friction
- Theory that never connected to real circuits
- Prototype spins wasted on matching errors
- Test equipment used only at surface level
How the program helps
- Match and tune circuits with confidence
- Cut prototype spins with right-first-time design
- Use VNAs and spectrum analyzers fully
Practice use cases
- Front-end design
- Link budgeting
- Lab measurement
Field radar systems that perform.
Radar and systems engineers connect waveforms, processing, and hardware into complete radar designs, validated against mission requirements in the capstone.
Workflow friction
- Waveform choices made without analysis
- Signal processing treated as a black box
- System trade-offs decided too late
How the program helps
- Choose waveforms from analysis, not habit
- Own the full signal processing chain
- Make trade-offs early with data
Practice use cases
- Radar architecture
- Pulse compression
- System trade studies
Measure and verify RF performance.
Systems and test engineers learn to specify, measure, and troubleshoot RF performance, from link budgets to fault isolation on the bench.
Workflow friction
- Link budgets that do not add up
- RF faults that take weeks to isolate
- Measurements nobody trusts
How the program helps
- Budget links with margin you can defend
- Isolate RF faults in hours, not weeks
- Produce measurements the team trusts
Practice use cases
- Test planning
- Fault isolation
- Compliance testing
Each cohort works on role-relevant labs and systems, then leaves with radar and RF skills ready for day-to-day engineering work.
Prerequisites: An engineering degree or equivalent experience is recommended, with basic math and physics helping. No prior radar experience is needed: the program builds from RF fundamentals, and cohorts are grouped by baseline so newcomers and experienced engineers each work at the right depth.
Electronics Engineer to Radar System Architect
The program takes engineers from RF basics to boardroom-ready radar system design: foundation math and components, intermediate antennas and signal processing, then advanced system trade studies and a capstone review.
Engineers grow from RF fundamentals to full radar system design as the modules progress, with labs matched to each level.

Connect RF Design, Radar Analysis, and Measurement Evidence in System Reviews
Edstellar develops radar and RF engineering skills through linked calculations, simulations, and measurement exercises. Participants examine antennas, receive chains, waveforms, and signal processing before diagnosing circuit behavior. A system design review brings requirements and validation together, assessed for consistent budgets, transparent assumptions, and evidence supporting the proposed architecture.
- Step 01
Consult
We assess engineering, mathematics, and physics foundations to identify gaps in RF calculations, antenna behavior, receive-chain analysis, or systematic measurement and troubleshooting.
- Step 02
Plan
We establish RF fundamentals before antennas and front-end circuits, then connect range analysis, signal processing, link performance, and measurement with the design capstone.
- Step 03
Align
We align RF design and measurement expertise with the cohort's baseline, confirming appropriate simulation tools and available instrument arrangements before hands-on testing exercises.
- Step 04
Customize
We adapt sample antenna models, receive chains, and notional sensing briefs to familiar engineering contexts, preserving noisy-channel comparisons and controlled circuit faults for analysis.
- Step 05
Execute
Participants compare antenna patterns, budget receive-chain performance, and investigate test results, receiving feedback on gain and noise assumptions, processing choices, and fault-isolation reasoning.
- Step 06
Evaluate
We assess the system proposal for traceable requirements, coherent RF and waveform calculations, and a validation plan that addresses the uncertainties exposed during analysis and testing.
